Washington—The Senate moved closer to passing a $1 trillion infrastructure package Saturday after lawmakers from both parties came together and voted to clear a key procedural hurdle, but the action soon stalled out as opponents tried to slow the rush to approve one of President Joe Biden’s top priorities. The measure would provide a massive injection of federal money for a range of public works programs, from roads and bridges to broadband internet access, drinking water and more. In a rare stroke of bipartisanship, Republicans joined the Democrats to overcome the 60-vote threshold needed to advance the measure toward final votes. The vote was 67-27, a robust tally. If approved,
Why vote anymore?

1/10 goes for infrastructure ( maybe ) the majority is for kickbacks, bribes, graft, pork, and green new deal garbage .If your town take federal funding from this, your town gives up the right to control its own zoning laws. The federal governments intent is to destroy the suburbs by forcing areas zoned for one family houses to build multi family and low income housing. Not in Martha's Vineyard , of course.

The definition of "infrastructure": The concrete foundation that enable the system to work. Thus, the DemocRATS want to change the part of the system that enable it to work.
Do YOU want that?

These are the typical ones who betray their constituents, party and country. I await the so-called good Republican Senators to stand up like men and women of character and denounce them each personally. The fact that they don’t do that says it all.

They're Marxist assets kept in place behind enemy lines, only to be called on when it's more critical to win some battle than to keep the assets secret. Kind of like the way the Democrat/Marxists used Jeff Sessions and William Barr. Their careers as "conservatives" were over once they betrayed Trump, but the bosses felt it was worth it. This infrastructure package undoubtedly has many, many hidden gems that will make it easier for the Marxists to consolidate their power grab. We're screwed.

The republicans just proved that they are no different from the democrats so both parties are destined to be found unfit to guide America and will disappear. American patriots will not have to distinguish the difference when choosing targets.

Republican Ingrates. Most owed their jobs exclusively to Trump. The dirty 16 were playing for the other side of the street. Alaska will have to dismantle the North Slope pipeline, your car will sniff your breath, the mileage tax will tell the Communists and your own wife your whereabouts, and all the windmills, solar panels and car batteries will be made by our mortal enemy Communist China. I you like freedom vote these 16 imbeciles out. Always remember, never forget. The only person that can stop this Communist steamroller is our own Donald J. Trump the Great.

One thing that never seems to be mentioned is this 'power sharing' arrangement that the 'tied' Senate supposedly has in place. We were told originally that unless both McConnell and Schumer agreed upon a bill, it would not be discharged to the Senate for debate or a vote.
So, the conclusion is that McConnell wants this crap, and HE is responsible for moving this forward.
One other thing. There are 50 Republicans, 48 Communists, and two 'Independents' who caucus with the Communist Party. In what world is a 50-48-2 split 'equal'? If the two want to be Commies, let them join the party and make it truly 50-50. Until they do, the squish Republicans should control the Senate. Probably wouldn't make much difference with China Mitch in charge, but 50 doesn't equal 48 in any universe I am aware of.

And I will bet that none of the Senators that supported this bill will such much, if any, negative consequences. They in all probability will get re-elected. Everybody always threatens to vote them out, etc. but when it comes time to support a candidate who might run against the incumbent people are too busy to support that candidate. It takes more than a one time monetary donation to get a person elected. It takes talking to people, organizing meetings for the candidate to outline why they should be elected...in other words it takes people who will answer phone, hand out flyers, etc.
So the incumbent has name recognition which they count on to get them money. And most people when they go to the polls really don't have much of an idea of just what their incumbent has done or what bills they may have supported. People don't follow politics like many posters here do. So the average voter will vote for the name they recognize. Sad but true...

Deb Fischer of Nebraska has turned to the Dark Side.... just WHAT KIND OF BRIBE was she promised?
John Cornyn has betrayed TEXAS-- for all the good he has done before joining forces with Darth McConnell, he just wrote his own epitaph!
He is now persona non grata
It looks more and more like we won't make it to the mid-terms unless we de-ceritify the 2020 election or there is an ARTICLE % Convention of States
