The U.S. Surgeon General Is Calling
COVID-19 Misinformation An 'Urgent Threat'

Original Article

Posted By: Judy W., 7/15/2021 7:38:09 AM

With about a third of adults in the U.S. still completely unvaccinated, and cases of COVID-19 on the rise, the U.S. Surgeon General is calling for a war against "health misinformation." On Thursday, Dr. Vivek Murthy is releasing the first Surgeon General's advisory of his time serving in the Biden administration, describing the "urgent threat" posed by the rise of false information around COVID-19 — one that continues to put "lives at risk" and prolong the pandemic. Murthy says Americans must do their part to fight misinformation. "COVID has really brought into sharp focus the full extent of damage that health misinformation is doing," Murthy told NPR in an exclusive interview

Comments:

This is really horrifying. We are fast descending into a police state.

What information is the Honorable Surgeon General privy to about the long range effects of the Covid Vaccines, the new and previously untried mRNA versions in particular, that no one else has, not even the pharma companies developing them. Fra from being vaccines the mRNA versions actually interferes with the the RNA of the body's immune system to deal specifically with the Covid virus. What are the implications of that for future viruses and are there any genetic effects for future generations..

How about combating some of these "myths" with some proof? Maybe because there's not any. And won't be for many years. "...but Murthy says fear about possible side effects or extremely rare adverse events are also a powerful driver of vaccine hesitancy." This is no myth. These side effects and adverse events (including death!) have actually happened, however rare. I'm sure the good doctor would consider this post misinformation so please make up your own mind, no doubt you're fully capable of doing so.

Ruling class elites have dispatched brown shirts door to door to check on vaccine compliance. And the democrat goon squad announced plans to spy on text messages to stop vaccine “misinformation.” The spying on text messages is particularly troubling because no reasonable person believes the surveillance is to be limited to vaccine “misinformation.” Where is Republican leadership on this frightening crackdown? I have heard nothing. Sarcasm, Republican leadership, sarcasm.

When new case numbers were at this same level a little over a year ago hospitalizations and deaths ranged from 4 to 8 times higher than they are now. We have protected the vulnerable, developed effective treatments, and most people (via natural infection or vaccine) are immune. In other words, we have won. We have beaten Covid. Another huge win for Western Civilization. I know that is not politically convenient for Democrat tyrants however. Rule by fear and rule by threat is their preference.

People are getting Covid, after being vaccinated, because the vaccine gave them Covid, which they would otherwise not have gotten. The vaccines cause changes in your blood capillaries, small blood clotting, that over time will develop into heart disease. Pregnant women were excluded from all tests of this vaccine. The reason is they should never take this vaccine. I fear anyone that has taken this vaccine has been had.

These folks would be more credible if they also mentioned how you can protect your immune system naturally and that there are treatments that they are withholding that can be used. No, they just want to push this junk shot which they have no idea of the short and long time effects. Anyway, the vaccine hasn't been available for one year and how many other variants have been spawned? So now you need not two but three shots of the stuff and next month will they add another? The drug companies are sitting around gleefully counting their money while the public guinea pigs are being terrorized.

Tidy Left-leaning narrative. Were the threat of the unvaccinated truly the concern, the borders would tighten and those entering would be screened and quarantined against a new surge in the virus. That isn't happening, so they're shining us on yet again. I'm inclined to agree with #1 - that this is a Wag The Dog style distraction to justify the mainstream media's lack of coverage of the Left-damning election audit results.

We’re not stupid. We can see with our own eyes the realities of Covid-19, and all it’s reincarnations, in our lives and the lives of others. The government is hysterical because we are leaning to our own knowledge and experience, instead of falling for the propaganda. It seems that the more evidence that comes out about these vaccines, the harder the government pushes in the opposite direction. Critical thinkers must ask themselves why.

During the rise and fall of the coronavirus last year, vaccines appeared more quickly than expected. Trump’s Operation Warp Speed deserved much of the credit, even though the media was reluctant to give it. Thereafter, the vaccines were rolled out aggressively. (Snip) The vaccine appears to work, at least temporarily. Even with the natural rise and fall of the virus, disease burden was even lower among the vaccinated. There were side effects and deaths, but these appeared to be modest compared to the disease, though much higher than those that occurred with familiar vaccines. But then things started to get worse again.

COVID-19 policies had disastrous results on children, especially in California, according to medical researchers at the University of California San Francisco. Jeanne Noble, director of COVID response in the UCSF emergency department, is finishing an academic manuscript on the mental health toll on kids from lockdown policies. She shared a presentation on its major points with Just the News. Suicides in the Golden State last year jumped by 24% for Californians under 18 but fell by 11% for adults, showing how children were uniquely affected by "profound social isolation and loss of essential social supports traditionally provided by in-person school," the presentation says. Children requiring emergency mental health services jumped last year

The Dallas Democratic Party is asking Texans for donations of Dr. Pepper, hair spray, salsa and other goods to send in care packages to lawmakers who fled the Lone Star State to Washington, D.C., in order to stymie a vote on an elections bill. “Our Dems in DC said they’d appreciate care packages from home. Before 5pm Tues, we’re collecting Dr. Pepper, salsa, hard candy, hairspray, travel toiletries, hand sanitizers, sewing kits, first aid, and/ or $ to pay shipping,” the Dallas Democrats tweeted Saturday. Responses to the tweet have not all been supportive of the lawmakers’ stunt. “So the $600K Beto raised for them & their daily per diem

A social justice group has said it sent a letter to white Democrats in two wealthy Texas neighborhoods calling on them to pledge their children will not apply to Ivy League schools so that black students can get a spot instead. Dallas Justice Now (DJN), which appears to have been set up recently, is asking white allies to commit to 'making sacrifices to correct centuries of injustice.' The group is specifically calling on people to sign its 'college pledge' not to send their children to Ivy League or US News & World Report Top 50 schools 'and instead leave those spots open for students from Black, LatinX, and other marginalized

After Team USA lost its Olympic opener to France, 83-76, on Sunday, ESPN analyst Tim Legler posited that perhaps this result could be a "good thing" for the Americans -- that it could serve as a "wake-up call" as they move forward in their quest for a fourth straight gold medal. Funny thing about that: Gregg Popovich and Jayson Tatum said the same thing after the U.S. lost to Nigeria two weeks ago in Las Vegas. (Snip) It's difficult to fully believe the Americans, who are the most talented team in the international world by a mile, are truly putting their

The Olympics opening ceremonies in Tokyo featured one of the worst pop songs of all time: Yes, I’m speaking of John Lennon’s “Imagine,” sung by a large children’s choir and a bevy of celebrities. As a fan of the Beatles and Lennon especially, it pains me to say this, but it’s true: While its melody and arrangement are indeed beautiful, the lyrics are an invitation to moral and political chaos.Consider the opening verse: “Imagine there’s no heaven / It’s easy if you try / No hell below us, above us only sky / Imagine all the people livin’ for today.” I frankly can’t imagine anything worse.
