Last week, the star made headlines when she wrote an op-ed for MarketWatch in which she suggested that the American flag be redesigned, as the current design has become "tattered, dated, divisive, and incorrect," alleging that it has "replaced" the confederate flag as a symbol of racism and hate.
Reactions to the "I Try" singer's suggestion were mixed, but certainly caused a stir on social media, and now, in an interview with TMZ, Gray has continued to defend her criticism and expanded on her call for a redesign.

At the beginning of the month, the Pentagon confirmed that they will not allow rainbow pride flags to fly at military facilities in celebration of Pride Month. That fell in line with the Pentagon’s 2020 decision to permit only certain flags at Department of Defense installations.
Pentagon spokesperson John Kirby told reporters the DOD chose not to make an exception to the existing flag policy after careful consideration.
Along with the American flag, the current policy implemented under the Trump administration authorizes flags representing states and U.S. territories, military services, prisoners of war and missing in action, national flags of U.S. allies and a handful of others.

More than 300 cases of heart inflammation after Covid-19 vaccinations have been reported in young people, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention Director Dr. Rochelle Walensky said Thursday. “The case are rare,” she said. “Over 20 million adolescents and young adults [have been] vaccinated in the United States.”
The teenaged boys all looked like they were having heart attacks. They complained of chest pain and general discomfort, and tests looked at first as if they were suffering an acute myocardial infarction, or heart attack. what the mainstream media failed to report is that one 13-year-old kid even died three days after receiving the vaccine.

Fox News host Tucker Carlson appeared on the “Ruthless” podcast Thursday and criticized the media for defending people in power instead of challenging them.
Carlson, the former co-founder of the Daily Caller, said that the reason journalists are protected under the First Amendment is that they are meant to challenge those in power. He went on to call out the media defending powerful people as “immoral.”

The Lakeville School district says it stands against racism and bigotry, and is committed to creating a more inclusive environment for all students. But some families say what is being said and being done is sending mixed messages.
A group of teachers initially inquired about the BLM posters. The district says anything political is against district policy, and the BLM posters may be seen as political.
During the Lakeville Area Schools Board of Education meeting, concerned parents showed up to share their thoughts about this very topic.
But it was a 9-year-old girl that stole the show.

Wisconsin Republican Rep. Glenn Grothman introduced a bill Friday that would ban Washington, D.C. public schools from teaching critical race theory – a controversial doctrine that assumes systematic racism is a defining feature of U.S. history and society.
Grothman said that critical race theory teaches children "to hate each other and hate their country."
"In other words, students being taught that they are defined by the color of their skin, not the content of their character," he said in a statement.
Congressional lawmakers have the jurisdiction to enact laws that affect the nation’s capital, as D.C. is not a state.

On Thursday, conservative talk show host Mark Levin delivered a monologue addressing the inclusion of “How to Be an Antiracist” by Ibram X. Kendi in the Chief of Naval Operations Professional Reading Program.
Levin said on FNC’s “Hannity” that the Democratic Party is “seeking to universalize and devour all of those who disagree with it.” He noted critical race theory such as Kendi’s book derives from Marxism and seeks to destroy the existing society.

Downtown Oakland now looks like a Third World shantytown, full of tents placed by homeless people. There are thousands similar sprawling encampments in Oakland, and they’re not going away anytime soon.
They’re likely to get even bigger.
But Newson had other ideas, he thought he can walk like a Governor who enjoys a huge support in Oakland but received instant karma for destroying the city.
A man has been arrested on suspicion of assaulting Gov. Gavin Newsom during his visit to downtown Oakland, authorities said Friday.
Comments:
This is what I’m wondering. Why aren’t members of Congress or Senate saying anything?? I’ve heard that DC is basically shut down with most government buildings closed. Now at 5 PM most military bases lower the flag for the night, but not the Pentagon because it has lights pointed at the flags and they stay up all night.
