WASHINGTON— Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg said Sunday time is running short for a bipartisan deal on infrastructure, indicating that President Joe Biden will look to act without Republican support if there is no consensus when Congress returns from its Memorial Day break.“By the time that they return, which is June 7, just a week from tomorrow, we need a clear direction,” Buttigieg said. “The president keeps saying inaction is not an option. And time is not unlimited here.” He said the American people “expect us to do something.”Biden plans to meet with lead Republican negotiator, Sen. Shelley Moore Capito of West Virginia, this coming week and says he remains open

Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) and a number of House Democrats are plotting to put together a “select committee” in order to investigate the January 6th riots at the United States Capitol following a vote in the Senate that tanked Democrat hopes for a “January 6th Commission,” according to CNN.On Saturday, Democrats failed to marshal enough votes to overcome a filibuster, losing in an effort to create a “9/11-style commission” to investigate the origins of and security failures during the January 6th incident. Republicans voted against the commission, largely because of concerns that the Democrat-drafted bill would create a partisan committee rather than ensure a neutral investigation.

On this Memorial Day weekend, what does Vice President Kamala Harris decide to talk about in front of the Naval Academy’s graduating class? Solar power.“Just ask any Marine today, would she rather carry 20 pounds of batteries or solar panels, and I am positive, she will tell you a solar panel — and so would he,” she said.(And if you want to see media bias in action, ABC News added “said to applause.” In truth, there was silence, until Harris gave a little chuckle to prompt the crowd in “please clap” fashion.) Start with the pandering pronoun “joke.” Women have been members of the Navy and Marines for a century,

Hundreds of black gun owners marched through downtown Tulsa to honor of the lives lost during the Tulsa Race Massacre of 1921. Members of the Black Panther party and over a dozen gun clubs marched down North Tulsa chanting 'Black Power' and 'Black Lives Matter' on Saturday afternoon. The 2nd Amendment Armed March commemorated the 100th anniversary of the notorious massacre that saw whites in the Oklahoma City attacking the prosperous black Greenwood district and its residents.(Photos/Video) An official death toll lists 26 black and 10 white victims, although as many as 300 black people are feared to have been murdered.

Former President Donald Trump blasted President Biden on his handling of China, the Middle East and the crisis at the southern border, saying his successor is “destroying our country.”“All he had to do is nothing,” the former president said on Newsmax’s “Dick Morris Democracy” on Saturday. “We won’t have a country; they’re destroying our country.”Trump said his administration’s work on the Mexican border was overturned by Biden and created the situation that exists there today.“If he would have done nothing, we would have had right now the strongest border in history,”

The annual Rolling to Remember event, which is organized by AMVETS and gathers thousands of motorcycles and spectators to honor POW-MIA veterans, is set to kick off in Washington, DC, at 12 p.m. EST. According to Joe Chenelly, the national executive director of AMVETS, turnout is expected to be even greater after the group was denied a permit for a staging area from the Pentagon under President Joe Biden’s leadership. An itinerary for Sunday’s event, which can be found on the organization’s website, is as follows: Sunday, May 30, 2021

Texas Republicans dug in Saturday for a final weekend vote on new voting laws in the U.S., putting the last touches on a sweeping bill that would eliminate drive-thru voting, empower partisan poll watchers and limit voting on Sundays. The changes would need to be approved before midnight on Sunday, when the GOP-controlled Legislature wraps up a session dominated by Republicans muscling through staunchly conservative measures pertaining to guns, abortion and how race can be taught in public schools. But none have drawn backlash like Senate Bill 7, which Republicans packed with a raft of new voting laws that would alter how the country's biggest red state conducts elections.

A former Black Lives Matter (BLM) activist who now serves as executive director of the Minnesota Parent Union revealed he “learned the ugly truth” about BLM, including that the radical group has little concern for rebuilding black families and even less for improving education for black children. In a video published Wednesday by TakeCharge, a Minnesota-based, black-led movement that rejects Critical Race Theory (CRT) and woke culture, Rashad Turner described how he became a founder of BLM in St. Paul, but came to realize, after only a year on the inside of the organization, that caring for black lives, black children, and black families was the least of

President Trump joined Dick Morris on Newsmax TV on Saturday night where he again tore into FOX News and the growing anti-Trump bias at the network. This was not the first time Trump hit FOX News and its anti-Trump hosts like Chris Wallace. Dick Morris: Now, an awful lot of FOX News viewers have stopped watching FOX and are now tuning into Newsmax. Why is that? Why do you think they left FOX? President Trump: Well, FOX has been a lot different. And I think they’re coming back a bit. But FOX has certainly been a lot different than it’s been in 2016.

Of all the reactions to Paul Ryan’s speech Thursday at the Reagan Library in California, I thought the funniest was the one titled “Paul Ryan Begins to Re-emerge.” I found that idea funny because the speech I heard signaled the opposite: not burgeoning “re-emergence” on to the political stage but, on the contrary, an almost comical confirmation of obscurity. Ryan is a careful man, well-pressed, armed with all the best clichés, and utterly feckless. He salted his talk with plenty of gems calculated to appeal to conservatives. He appealed early and often to the ghost of Ronald Reagan—understandable given the auspices of his talk.

This week, I’m sorry to say, madness of celebrities, corporate media, educational institutions, and the administration, only increased and like Victor Davis Hanson, I wonder if the madness of last year will last? Let’s start with Harry, formerly known as Prince. He claimed this week that mental health and climate change are linked. I agree they are linked, though not in the way he thinks they are. I think anyone who seriously believes man can control climate is nuts. And when you get right down to it there’s ample evidence for my view that thinking we can control the climate and that we should impoverish ourselves in that effort
