Of all the reactions to Paul Ryan’s speech Thursday at the Reagan Library in California, I thought the funniest was the one titled “Paul Ryan Begins to Re-emerge.” I found that idea funny because the speech I heard signaled the opposite: not burgeoning “re-emergence” on to the political stage but, on the contrary, an almost comical confirmation of obscurity. Ryan is a careful man, well-pressed, armed with all the best clichés, and utterly feckless. He salted his talk with plenty of gems calculated to appeal to conservatives. He appealed early and often to the ghost of Ronald Reagan—understandable given the auspices of his talk.

I'm just wondering who got the reward for spotting Ryan from the picture on the milk carton and reporting his current whereabouts.

The Reagan Library should set their standards a little higher for those invited to speak there. Paul Ryan is certainly not the face of the Republican Party. Time for Eddie Munster to disappear again IMO.

Be interesting to find out how much Paul Ryan is worth these days. Millions no doubt. Another gutless, greedy republican traitor with his snout buried deep in the corruption trough of the DC Swamp.
My question is who exactly at the Reagan Library invited this little commie quisling toad to come to the Library and spew forth his hatred of President Trump and by extension the 80 million plus citizens who voted for our President. President Reagan must be looking down with complete disgust at Lying Ryan befouling his Library.
With republicans like Ryan who needs enemies.

OK. why is Ryan afraid of PDT? Is there something in Ryan's life that would be devastating (to him) if it ever were to be made public?
PDT cannot be bought or bribed.

Romney/Ryan. What a pair of losers. Couldn't have done better had they come out of Central Casting! No wonder the Kenyan Twit got re-elected.

I think Ronald Reagan would have seen Ryan for the empty suit he truly is. He mouths all the right platitudes but when it comes down to doing the right thing, he always slips in with his swamp buddies. A completely untrustworthy individual.

planetgeo that's a great name for the man, "milk carton Ryan" have you seen this man? That's how obscure the backstabbing Ryan is to real conservatives in the party that knows and rejects him.

Paul Ryan is a Murdoch Media executive. If he and Rupert Murdoch believed Paul Ryan has any kind of mass appeal they would have given him a commentator gig on Fox News, wouldn't they?

Paul Ryan, former conservative hero when he schooled Obama on budget policy in '09, is a GOPe/UNIPARTY stalwart, as are most of the Bush, Cheney, Romney, McCain adherents these days. He tries to emulate his hero Jack Kenp; and he's no Jack Kemp.
Speaker Ryan lost his "moral authority" to speak on Republican/conservative unity after siding with the anti-Trump forces, resigning his speakership without vacating the seat, and then forfeiting the '18 Congressional elections. In that Paul Ryan is clearly responsible for Speaker Nancy Pelosi and the Democrat majority, which includes responsibility for the two Trump impeachment debacles.

Sometimes politicians say something so stupid that you know you never want them near the levers of power. When Paul Ryan (AKA Eddie Munster) argued that making illegals citizens would bail out Social Security, that told me everything I needed to know about him. Anyone with half a brain knows that low-paid semi-literate laborers will take out far more money than they'll ever pay into that system.
