The New York Times has an opinion piece out — “Support for Black Lives Matter Surged Last Year. Did It Last?” They note how immediately after the death of George Floyd, support for BLM surged. But then, after June 3, it took a precipitous drop, and as the summer went on, it declined to even less support for BLM than there had been before Floyd’s death among some voters. The article said that among some voters, including Republicans, that it turned to outright opposition. (Tweet) The article suggests this drop is evidence of support from white people and Republicans being “fickle.” They never seem to figure out why

The woke CEO's have stopped sending their emails endorsing BLM. But I have not forgotten them, and hope for a chance to do something for them that they won't like.

There is a real discrepancy between what I know about a story and what my sister, a confirmed liberal, knows. She believes whatever NBC tells her - and NBC called the summer riots “peaceful demonstrations”. I think Republicans were just better informed about last year’s “Summer of Love” and the graph reflects their knowledge.

Could it be that more people are learning what BLM really is?

In the initial ignorance, "Black Lives Matter" sounds like a nice slogan. It might make one imagine that they are against killing blacks. A bit of confusion started when people said, "All Lives Matter" and were shouted down, called 'racist'. ????? Gee, so Asian lives, and Indian lives, and Hispanic lives DON'T matter?
Then when the endless slaughter of blacks by other blacks in the large metro areas like Chicago, and cities in NY, NJ run by Dem politicians is totally ignored, the hypocrisy becomes even more clear.
It has become obvious that BLM is entirely uninterested in SAVING BLACK LIVES, and is ONLY interested in gathering money and political power with their slogan. They are perfectly happy to leave hundreds, even thousands of black deaths unmourned, unchallenged, and make not the slightest effort to deal with the black lives lost to other violent blacks, but concentrate on burning and looting (often black businesses) to gain money and political power.
That they proudly claim "we are trained Marxists" while they ignore almost all black lives being lost isn't an attractive look, either.

Well, when the BLM leader is sporting 4 new homes, everyone thought they all got their reparations. Don't need help any more.

I believe there is a huge gulf between the sentiment of black lives mattering and the Marxist organization that is BLM and decent folks are arriving at that conclusion.

Help me to understand, what part of BLM don't you fickle people like, the burning, the looting, the shooting of police, the rioting, beating up senior citizens, attacking Asians, dining and dashing, blocking inersections and beating on cars, Patrice Cullers four houses, forever ruining some major cities for tourism, the screaming racism, the chimpouts that can erupt anywhere at anytime because they are bored, their favoritism well, everywhere they can't compete, or the stupid white chicks who fell for the George Floyd trick where a drug-addled prisoner died while resisting arrest and drew thousands of you to march in front of the rioters. The barrage of TV commercials that shoehorn black people into situations that you would never find them in in real life, like two parent marriages, paddling kayaks in the ocean, being peaceful and civil at mixed-race parties. How about shooting their neighbors' children on the streets of New York and Chicago to protect drug turf or for no reason at all?
I'm not sure which of these actions turned my lukewarm tolerance of the small percentage of black people who behave in a civilized manner into disdain for nearly all of them. Oh, I do have one black man in my town who qualifies as a human being, he pays money out of his own pocket to teach boxing to young boys and girls of all races, so I still have hope for them.

If BLM truly cared about black lives, the first thing they would do would be to demand the closure of every Planned Parenthood in the country.
But I imagine that Kermit Gosnell is one of their heroes.
