Governor Ron DeSantis is on a collision course with Joe Biden and what is already the most radical administration in American history. The Florida Republican continues to elevate his national profile. His remarkable success in handling the COVID crisis by balancing the historic health disaster with protecting the economy & preserving civil liberties make him a rising star. With a possible 2024 White House bid in his future (if former President Donald J. Trump chooses not to run again) DeSantis has positioned himself to emerge as the nation’s top critic of Biden. The governor has already butted heads with Sleepy Joe when he recently sued the administration

Evidence of a "cold" American civil war has been playing out in the streets of America for the last year and the reality is it’s been percolating for decades. (snip) Such was the beginning of the journey that brings us to America circa 2021. Today you’re either on the side of angels or the side of Hitler. There’s no middle ground. George Washington was a slave-owning racist and nothing else matters. Michael Brown and George Floyd were innocent victims of racist cops. Period. All women should be believed… unless they accuse Democrats. There is an infinite number of genders. Clearly.

President Joe Biden issued a call to action to world leaders on Thursday, asking them to work together to keep the earth's temperature from rising too high in the next decade, arguing it would result in new jobs and economic opportunities.'The signs are unmistakable. The science is undeniable. The cost of inaction is mounting,' he said in his speech kicking off his Climate Summit.'This is a moral imperative, an economic imperative,' Biden argued. 'Time is short, but I believe we can do this. And I believe that we will do. Thank you for being part of the summit.'In his remarks, Biden stressed the importance of working together but also emphasized

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has been mocked for claiming that climate change is a product of racial injustice, as she relaunched her controversial Green New Deal. The New York congresswoman on Tuesday spoke in front of the Capitol to promote her plan, which set a series of ambitious targets such as eliminating U.S. greenhouse gas emissions within a decade and transitioning the economy away from fossil fuels.Ocasio-Cortez said that climate change must be viewed through the lens of race.'The climate crisis is a crisis born of injustice, and it is a crisis born of the pursuit of profit at any and all human and ecological cost,' she said.

The square where George Floyd was murdered by ex-Minnesota cop Derek Chauvin now has a sign with special rules for white people. The placard at the entrance of George Floyd Square in Minnesota calls it “a sacred space for community, public grief, and protest,” telling visitors to “honor the space as a place to connect and grieve as caring humans.” But most of the instructions are listed under five orders “for white people in particular.” “Decenter yourself and come to listen, learn, mourn, and witness,” the first bullet points reads, adding, “Remember you are here to support, not to be supported.” “Be mindful

The Ohio police officer who shot to death a black teenage girl in a disturbing encounter with a knife appears to be a military-trained marksman specializing in firing an assault rifle, according to a report Wednesday.
Columbus police officer Nicholas Reardon — who was placed on paid leave after fatally shooting 16-year-old Ma’Khia Bryant Tuesday — is a U.S. Air National Guardsman who received an expert marksman badge with a M4 Carbine rifle, according to the Daily Beast.
Reardon, who joined the department in 2019, is also the son of Air Force veteran and retired Columbus Division of Police

Yahoo News, which is a hard left partisan outfit, committed an act of journalism this week: It discovered that the United States Post Office has been running a “covert operations program” to monitor Americans’ social media posts for inflammatory information. That sounds like a bipartisan sin of officiousness that, despite the public nature of many posts, can leak into being a Fifth Amendment violation. However, when you dig more deeply into the article, you discover that the Post Office is concerned only with “right-wing” inflammatory information.

As America learned that a Columbus, Ohio police officer shot and killed a teenage girl while she was in the act of wielding a knife at two other girls, NBA star LeBron James took to Twitter and incited his followers against the police officer. James has 49.6 million Twitter followers and is a hero to millions for winning basketball championships. He is very influential.
This is what he tweeted. I’d have blurred out the officer’s face, but the fact is, James’ tweet put it out there and the officer’s name has also been released.
Columbus police made bodycam video of the shooting available very quickly after the incident.

Derek Chauvin is spending 23 hours a day alone in 7-by-10-foot cell at Minnesota's only maximum security prison as he awaits sentencing for the murder of George Floyd.
Chauvin, 45, was whisked to the Minnesota Correctional Facility - Oak Park Heights on Tuesday and placed on suicide watch after a jury handed down its guilty verdict. The disgraced former Minneapolis cop will be held in solitary confinement in what's known as a 'Super Seg' single prison cell for the next eight weeks until his sentencing, where he faces up to 40 years.

A Minnesota jury has found former police officer Derek Chauvin guilty of second-degree murder, third-degree murder, and second-degree manslaughter. This means they claim to have concluded that they unanimously believe beyond a reasonable doubt that Chauvin caused Floyd’s death.
Given the circumstances of the trial, however, it’s extremely hard to believe the jury was solely concerned with either truth or justice. It’s extremely hard, if not impossible, for any thinking person not to have a reasonable doubt about the outcome.
We know the judge in the case refused to sequester jurors from media coverage and outside influences during the trial, and that the pressure conveyed to them was beyond intense.

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Zach Usmani gripped his phone, shoulders hunched over the steering wheel as he sat in his parked car Tuesday outside a gym in Columbus. He was watching a video livestream when Judge Peter Cahill read the verdict in the trial of former Minneapolis police Officer Derek Chauvin. (Snip) "Relief is just so tepid. It's tepid because I know this does not protect the next person from getting shot, protect the next person from being brutalized," Usmani said. "The police just can't stop themselves from killing Black people even with all the attention on this." The shooting comes as

In a 216-208 party-line vote on Thursday, the House of Representatives approved legislation that would make Washington, D.C., the 51st state in the nation. The bill will now be sent to the US Senate.“It’s the second time the House has approved such legislation in two years, but the statehood bill, long a goal for the nation’s capital, faces an uphill climb in a Senate evenly divided between the two parties,” noted The Hill, adding that “Winning a vote in the Senate would likely require ending the filibuster that requires most legislation to clear a 60-vote hurdle. Even then, not all 50 Democrats in the Senate back making D.C. a state.”
