Most Republican senators signed onto a letter to the Government Accountability Office accusing Joe Biden of 'unlawful' acts in stopping construction of Donald Trump's southern border wall on Day One of his presidency. '[I]n one of the first official acts of his presidency, Joseph Biden suspended border wall construction and ordered a freeze of funds provided by Congress for that purpose,' the 40 senators wrote. Why do these stories always come from the UK? Our Media is useless unless they are attacking republicans. I don't believe stopping the wall funding caused the problem. Biden caused the problem by running for President telling the world he was going to do away with stopping illegals from coming to this country.

The President is the Chief Executive Officer of the United States. It is his job to enforce the laws of the United States as legislated by Congress. If he is not carrying out that responsibility, i.e., not enforcing the immigration laws of the government, but actually circumventing them, refusing to carry them out, is that not grounds for removing him, impeaching him from office? Anyone in the House filing articles of impeachment?

Our country cannot be defended against foreign invaders. They are welcome. Our Capitol, however, is surrounded by a fence and defended by the National Guard. This is by express order of *president *Biden. Are the House and Senate office buildings defended by fences? Who else gets a fence? Does Pelosi get an armed guard when she flies to CA? Does she fly on an armored transport, and receive a military escort in SF? Apparently fences are only used to guard Democrats. Since this is now a Banana Republic, when do we get our bananas?

They broke the law to get a fraudulent potus in the White House. Republicans? So we express surprise the new progressive Democrat-controlled Federal agencies continue to break laws? Thank you #3. Writing a letter is a waste of time. Articles of impeachment and any other lawful Constitutional measures should be employed now.

Big fat hairy deal!!! They are democrats - nothing will happen! The government is crooked, the judges are corrupt (or terrified), the 'news' media spouts democrat propaganda. Why should anything change? Why do you think they want to disarm the public? Read a book called 'Unintended Consequences' to see where we are going.

Sellout's remorse 4 replies

The other side of buyer's remorse is seller's remorse. That happens when you sell or even give away something that you miss after its gone. Rich Lowry, editor of the Never Trump Review, has a variant called sellout's remorse. He sold out his once-conservative magazine's reputation to gain brownie points among the elitists. His Against Trump issue was a political and intellectual failure because 1. Trump won the presidency, and 2. Trump was the most successful conservative president in decades. Opposition from Fake Conservatives helped Democrats stymie President Trump's completion of the wall. As hundreds of thousands of illegal aliens gather at our border, Lowry realizes the price paid for selling out.

Is the military more focused on winning wars, or Wokeism? Americans should not have to ask this question. But on account of doings of the Biden-led Department of Defense (DoD), Fox News’ Tucker Carlson was rightly compelled to proffer it. That he received any DoD response—and no less an almost parodic scolding, rather than an assurance that the military is singularly focused on crushing our enemies—demonstrates an existential problem for our country. It shows that the progressives’ Long March through our institutions is reaching its dangerous apex. This is a dangerous apex because when it comes to matters of national security and foreign policy, politicization literally kills.

The U.S. military has now turned its wrath inward on Fox News host Tucker Carlson. The new secretary of defense relayed his “revulsion” for Carlson’s questioning the role of women in combat—a position that had been the military’s centuries-long orthodoxy until about seven years ago. Pentagon spokesman John Kirby even compared Carlson to the Communist Chinese military: “What we absolutely won’t do is take personnel advice from a talk show host, or the Chinese military.” The now-cocky Department of Defense website further boasted, “Press Secretary Smites Fox Host.” So what was the biblically “smitten” Carlson’s crime?
Tell the Truth, Mr. President 9 replies

When a politician promises to “tell the truth,” as President Biden did in his nationally televised address last Thursday, you can add that statement to familiar ones lacking the ring of sincerity. They include: “The gun isn’t loaded;” “the microphone is off;” “if you like your doctor, you can keep your doctor” and “I did not have sex with that woman, Ms. Lewinsky.” A promise to tell the truth might imply that others (himself?) have been lying in the past. Why not just be truthful? Honesty is not only the best policy, it is a practice people don’t have to brag about if they have a record of veracity.
