10-Year-Old Girl to Graduate College:
‘I Just Enjoy Learning’

Original Article

A 10-year-old California girl is set to graduate from college this spring. “I just enjoy learning,” she said. “There’s so many interesting things out there.” Alisa Perales, who learned how to read at 2 years old and began doing algebra at the age of five, started taking classes at Crafton Hills College — a community college in Yucaipa, California — when she was just 8 years old, according to a report by ABC7 WWSB. “It’s very fun to me,” Perales told the outlet. “It’s almost as fun as playing outside or riding a bike or doing whatever. I just enjoy learning. There’s so many interesting things out there.”

Comments:

Wow!! I'm impressed!! My first year in college, our friends group included a 15-year-old pre-med student who had "CLEP'd" out of so many classes that he was an academic junior who was set to graduate shortly after his 16th birthday. Talking to him wasn't like talking to a 15-year-old, it was like talking to an adult in a small body. So long as her parents aren't pushing her beyond her limits, and it sounds like they are not, she'll be fine.

Sometimes when a child peaks so early, life is a bit harder than for most. I do wish this child all the best.

Assuming this is all true ,good for her. I always have enjoyed learning, too. But I was a slow learner, didn't start reading the newspaper until I was five.

What a wonderful girl! Now if they can keep her away from the lefty ideologies and political science classes in those colleges, maybe she wont be ruined.

I hope it's advanced intelligence and not the level of the school system. If she is enjoying it, it's most likely the former.

I love reading stories like this. Growing up as a Black kid in 70s-80s rural WVA I too enjoyed learning and loved school. With that came the teasing mostly from other Black kids which started in fourth grade at the age of 9. I was called want to be White boy, bookworm, loser, teacher's pet monkey, sell out, biscuit (white on the inside brown on the outside), Oreo and my personal favorite Curious George. All because I got good grades in all of my reading, science and English classes. Algebra (staring in 8th grade) was tough but with help from tutors I prevailed. As long as Alisa has good parents who love her, she will be alright. I wish her all the best.

Trump Circumvents Schumer on Federal Prosecutor Nomination 1 reply

President Trump on Wednesday found a way around an effort by Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY), who tried to block one of his nominees for a federal prosecutor role in New York. Trump announced his appointment of Jay Clayton as interim U.S. attorney for the Southern District of New York, which would circumvent the Senate confirmation process that Schumer intended to block. “I am pleased to announce that Jay Clayton will serve as the Interim United States Attorney for the Southern District of New York. During my First Term, Jay served with great distinction as the Chair of the Securities and Exchange Commission, and earned the respect of everyone," Trump said.

You might have thought that Sen. Chris Van Hollen (D-MD) would be back by now after he got rejected from seeing or talking with El Salvadoran national Kilmar Abrego Garcia in El Salvador. That would have been smart. But he appears to still be there and still grandstanding. After being told bluntly by the Central American nation's vice president that the senator wasn't going to be able to get in to see Garcia at CECOT, it looks like Van Hollen decided to go there anyway to try to get in. It didn't go well. He says he was stopped by soldiers.

Death row inmates granted clemency by former President Joe Biden sued the Trump administration on Wednesday for ordering their incarceration under the most “oppressive conditions” available. President Donald Trump issued an executive order on his first day in office that directed Attorney General Pam Bondi to ensure 37 death row inmates were “imprisoned in conditions consistent with the monstrosity of their crimes and the threats they pose,” which the lawsuit alleges is unconstitutional. “By categorically condemning Plaintiffs to indefinite incarceration in harsh conditions in response to their receipt of clemency from the previous President, it exceeds the statutory authority granted to the Attorney General and her deputy,

She will be performing her duties while on a luxury cruise ship, where she will not only continue to receive benefits but will also be accruing vacation time. President Trump is delivering on promises not to forget about the people who were largely abandoned by the Biden administration after a catastrophic hurricane destroyed much of Western North Carolina. Major roads were completely wiped out after Hurricane Helene, making rescue efforts in the area even harder. Many North Carolinians who survived the devastating wreckage had to suffer through a cold, wet winter in makeshift homes and relied on local support and the Cajun Army for help … until President Trump took office. Matt Van Swol, a reformed Democrat, has been extensively reporting on the situation in Western N.C. and East Tennessee,

Host Laura Ingraham said, “Now, Alex, I think the lawfare, all the collusion among the attorneys general and the Democrat Party officials that they’re now admitting on camera, look, they’ve had some success, you know, in simply delaying Trump’s agenda. Maryland Gov. Wes Moore (D) has endorsed Sen. Instead of doing the job his constituents elected him to do in Washington, DC, the left-wing senator has taken time off to go on a trip to El Salvador “to discuss the release” of Kilmar Abrego Garcia, a Salvadoran national who illegally entered the United States and lived in Maryland until his arrest by Immigrations and Customs Enforcement (ICE):

New York Attorney General Letitia James’s mortgage fraud problems just got even bigger, and may now include the possible breaking of campaign disclosure laws. Questions are now being raised about a foreclosure sale in December 2008 that involved James as a purchaser. Documents show her name appearing on the “Final Foreclosure Accounting” for the purchase of a single-family home at 21 Peters Street in Martinsville, Virginia. Two other names appear on the same document as additional purchasers, Johnsie Finney and Philip Finney. Interestingly, James’s first named is misspelled as “Letitua.” One has to wonder whether this misspelling was intended to make the transaction harder to track.

The recent deportation of MS-13 gang member and Salvadorian citizen Kilmar Ábrego García, whose gang affiliation invalidated his U.S. residency, has drawn attention to the Salvadorian prison where he is now being held. El Salvador’s Terrorism Confinement Center (CECOT) is the brainchild of President Nayib Bukele, who operated on the premise that anyone bearing gang tattoos was likely a member, since non-gang-members with gang tattoos were often killed by gang members. Bukele tasked his police and military forces with rounding up known gang members and domestic terrorists, many of whom are now locked away in this ultra-secure facility. HBO has announced plans to cast a Black actor as Severus Snape in its upcoming Harry Potter series adaptation, in yet another brazen move by the radical left to rewrite and ruin beloved classics. The iconic character, immortalized by the late Alan Rickman in the original films, is described in J.K. Rowling’s books in Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban as “a thin man with sallow skin, a large hooked nose, and greasy, shoulder-length black hair.” “Sallow” is an old-fashioned term that describes a pale, yellowish, or sickly complexion. It often implies someone looks unwell, gaunt, or drawn, rather than naturally dark-skinned.

It pinpointed how canines are disturbing native wildlife, particularly shore birds. The move hinges on the “blue slip” tradition in which home-state senators can effectively block a nominee if they do not support the individual. “Donald Trump has made clear he has no fidelity to the law and intends to use the Justice Department, the U.S. Attorney offices and law enforcement as weapons to go after his perceived enemies,” Schumer said in a statement.
