The Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) has saved U.S. taxpayers roughly $150 billion, according to the latest update.
DOGE updated its website again this week with the latest figures on massive savings for the American people. According to this update, U.S. taxpayer savings now reach $150 billion — up from $140 billion in the last update. That results in a savings of $931.68 per taxpayer.
(X Video) The DOGE website makes it clear that the $150 billion in savings is a “combination of asset sales, contract/lease cancellations and renegotiations, fraud and improper payment deletion, grant cancellations, interest savings, programmatic changes, regulatory savings, and workforce reductions.”

day by day. all agency heads have to do their part with cuts - now. this is not Elon's battle to fight by himself. i think you can't count on Congress since it is a large part of the problem.

Wait until they find all of the overseas bank transfers. Yes, trillions will be found. Zelinskyy will also have a big chunk of it.

DOGE has uncovered a lot of corruption, government waste, fraud, and dereliction of duty to do its proper duty to guard against such things.
That is only a small part of the iceberg which can be seen!
To quote the Great President Ronald Reagan:
“In this present crisis, government is not the solution to our problem; government is the problem.
From time to time we've been tempted to believe that society has become too complex to be managed by self-rule, that government by an elite group is superior to government for, by, and of the people."

A lot of this is the low hanging fruit.
I sure hope more is found. Like, maybe, a trillion $ plus? Please?

This is all well and good, but we are about 3 billion dollars away from finding how many government "insiders" rip off the rest of us. What ever happened to the so-called clean hands doctrine?

$150 Billion? We were expecting close to a trillion seeing how we have so much fraud and abuse in our government spending. Look for theft Elon. The grifters are sneaky in covering their tracks.

Slightly OT but this recent agreement between the IRS and SSA to compare SSNs could have been done a couple of decades ago if there was a will by either the agency of the Administration in power. It's called the Computer Matching Agreement of 1988. A Computer Matching Agreement (CMA) is a written agreement required by the Privacy Act of 1974 for federal agencies to disclose records for use in computer matching programs, according to the U.S. Department of the Treasury. It outlines the terms, conditions, and safeguards for sharing data between agencies when their automated systems of records are compared, says the Department of Defense. CMAs are essential for verifying eligibility for federal benefits, ensuring compliance with regulations, and recouping payments, among other purposes.

Yeah, that seems low. I haven't kept a running count of all they have uncovered, but I had the idea that they had made announcements of having found at least four times that amount of stolen and wasted money.
