The Carhartt apparel company is the latest to find itself in the middle of the COVID-19 wars after an internal memo informed employees the company would forge ahead with its vaccine mandate despite a Supreme Court ruling striking down President Biden’s testing requirement on unvaccinated workers. In a letter that circulated online, CEO Mark Valade said workplace safety is key and the ruling “doesn’t impact that core value.” It also said an unvaccinated workforce represents a risk the company is “unwilling to take.” The letter kicked up dust in the Twitterverse, with #BoycottCarhartt trending for days, while some said they’d double down on orders in support of the company.

The CEO should be thrown in jail for “ contempt of law”

FTA: an unvaccinated workforce represents a risk the company is “unwilling to take.”
And exactly what would that risk be? The CEO of Pfizer himself has admitted that the vaccine does NOT stop one from getting the virus, AND it does not stop one from transmitting the virus. Ergo, a fully vaccinated workforce is exactly the same risk as an unvaccinated workforce. #stopthebullshiite.

It is a private business and has this right to demand this of it's employees. It is not the government's or my right to demand otherwise. But I hope they can keep afloat.

". . .the company would forge ahead with its vaccine mandate despite a Supreme Court ruling striking down President Biden’s testing requirement on unvaccinated workers."
Neither of the Supreme Court's recent mandate related per curium opinions affects this company's authority to impose its own mandate on its employees. The suggestion that the imposition of this company's mandate somehow is in spite of either of those opinions is incorrect.

How long do you suppose that it will take people to notice that the “shots” don’t decrease covid and possibly increase the adverse consequence of the virus? Otherwise intelligent and observant people often seem unable to recognize this.

Another wrinkle courtesy of a French court that might catch on over here (or elsewhere). The French court sided with an insurance company that refused to pay on policies because the policyholder committed suicide. He got covid shots which were deemed experimental drugs and therefore an exclusion under the policies.

Did Mark Valade check with his legal counsel? He is setting himself and his company for some withering litigation when --not "if"-- his employees file suit from the jab's adverse reactions. Stock holders will probably want his head on a pike as well.

They can request their employees to get the shot if they choose, and recommend they do so.
However, they should also realize that the NHL players are 100% vaccinated.
Yet, 73% of them have tested positive for COVID, with 60% in just the past 5 weeks
The CDC admits the shots don't prevent you from getting COVID, but it's looking more like it will reduce the effects and keep most people out of the hospital.

Now that there's no mandate, wouldn't the employer be responsible for serious effects of the Clot Shot? I'll bet a good lawyer could tear Carhartt apart on that one. Just be sure that the employee has a record of their objection on their phone - no one from Carhartt would sign anything to that effect.

What else can an employer force a person to do? How about a flu shot, maybe PrEP to prevent HIV? Cholesterol drugs? Blood testing to make sure you don't smoke tobacco? Why not regular body mass assessments to make sure you're eating what they say you should, and weigh what they think you should? In America there are no limits because commerce is our god and people are mere commodities.

This is actually a company that I buy stuff from. So I guess I can boycott them. Also I would like to see the science or data that proves your symptoms are less severe if you have the shot. I have not read any but it always seemed like such a convenient fall back position when they have to admit the vaccines don’t work. I have an open mind on this.

Carhadt used to make quality work clothing.
It's increasingly trendy garbage for manbun-wearing hipsters.

I just called Carhartt at (800) 833-3118, and explained to the nice young lady that answered the phone that I could no longer support a company that treats its employees this way. She thanked me for calling and said that she is recording these calls to pass the info up to management.
Pick up the phone and give them a call... (800) 833-3118.

RE #5 - So what if this same private company required all its employees to reveal their HIV status? And ]before you say covid is a respiratory illness not spread through homosexual sex, then how about the homosexual employees who decide to hook up? Covid can be treated and cured. HIV cannot.

Based on where I see their goods in mainly rural supply stores, it won't be a popular opinion with a majority of their customers.
