President Joe Biden has responded to a new annual inflation reading of 7 percent, the highest level in 40 years, by blaming global causes and insisting his administration is making 'progress' on the issue. Persistent supply chain issues have left grocery shelves bare across the nation this week, drawing comparisons to conditions in the former Soviet Union and putting further upward pressure on prices. The Labor Department said Wednesday that the consumer price index rose 0.5 percent last month after surging 0.8 percent in November. It pushed annual inflation to 7 percent in December, the highest increase since June 1982, and up from November's 6.8 percent annual rate.

I feel better now that Biteme has made it known that inflation is a global problem. Next time I'm in the store looking at the empty shelves, I'll remind myself that I don't really need milk, or toilet paper. I'll just be glad that I could get gas for under 5 bucks a gallon to get to the store.

Don't care if it is a "global" problem. Make it NOT a problem here

Never thought I'd see the day an installed president could be more out of touch and incompetent than carter. Yet here we are.

Treasury Secretary Janet "Yodel-Lay-Hee-Hoo" Yellen
December 10, 2021
"“In the later part of the decade, as confirmed by the CBO score, the legislation will be deficit-reducing on an annual basis, and thus cannot be expected to contribute to inflation in those years,” Yellen wrote."

Biden is not worried about inflation since he doesn't pay for anything (everything he gets has "zero" cost to him).

FTA: 'He's also going to be sort of cognizant of the potential fallout effect.'
Here's a suggestion to Shawn Cruz, senior manager of trader strategy at TD Ameritrade in Chicago: Don't ever use 'cognizent' in any reference to Joey. You now nave kaka all over your face.

Demented Joe was an idiot before his brain crapped out. He's always been a liar.
So, a demented, lying idiot. Yeah, that's the person to believe.
Government printing way, way, WAY too much money - THAT's what causes inflation. And on top of that, cutting the supply of energy and raising it's cost - INTENTIONALLY- adds costs to the price of absolutely everything. ALL things use energy to extract the raw materials, to manufacture, to grow, to harvest, to dry grains, to ship - ALL require energy, and the Dems have intentionally massively increased energy costs, and created shortages of energy. Too much money sloshing around from government printing presses and too little energy available. BOTH intentional policy choices by Dems, both driving up costs.
This is NOT an accident. This is "equalization of living standards" around the world. An intentional plan to lower American standard of living to that of the third world.

The only inflation progress he’s made is puffing up his depends. What a joke we’ve become and it’s hard to believe the mainstream media and rest of the Democrats actually allow him to do this. Eventually they will figure out they’ve shot them selves in the foot. By then it will be too late. Just like enablers who allow family drunks to drive until after they kill somebody.

I build things out of heavy timbers for a living. In the good old days (Trump) we would go for months without a price increase, and sometimes the timber price would decrease. All of last year I got a new (higher) price sheet each month. I was just notified by my supplier that I will be getting new (higher) price sheets every two weeks. Thanks Brandon!

"There they go again" .. "Lies, damned lies, and statistics"
President Reagan and Sam Clements popularized it, whoever first said it.
Really have to give these Dems credit for their devilish skill of manipulating and twisting facts.
