Routine definitions of the word “citizen” include such phrases as a “person who legally belongs to a country and has the rights and protection of that country” and a person “who owes allegiance to a government and is entitled to protection from it.” The common point is the transaction — a citizen gives something and gets something, as does the government. One of those rights that has universally distinguished citizens from noncitizens is the right to vote. Unfortunately, we can now add that distinction to history’s trash heap thanks to the far left’s war on the nation’s culture and legal systems.

Let's get a bunch of conservatives and go vote on that day. We can vote out the dems and replace them. Maybe then NYC will have a chance to survive and protect the folks that live there.

The way they are shooting each other in the streets, all of New York City will be dead soon. Nobody left to vote and no candidates to vote for.

Seriously, how can anyone make the argument for this with a straight face. I honestly believe that democrats have lost all ability to think and reason. They run on pure political lust for power regardless of the real consequences. Is our best option to just flee and let them enjoy their madness? Most of the country has grown weary with their lawlessness and at this point just want them to remain as far away from the rest of us as possible. You do you, New York, and the rest of us will watch as you devolve into the chaos you have chosen.

Like gay-marriages, once you can do it one state, they'll find the logic to force it in other states, and soon enough, it'll be universal.

And they think the Bronx apartment fire was bad. Just think of the multitudes of people stuffed in apartment buildings just so they can vote.

NYC, Chicago, Seattle, Portland and Los Angeles have become no visit zones for tourism, shopping and dining. As some lady said to us about our plans to see eastern Oregon, Portland is OK, you just need to stay out of a few blocks downtown? Which ones?

#3 I love ya, I really do. You are one of the best LDotters and I look forward to reading your posts daily. With all due respect, we conservatives have to stop thinking this way! The Dems are not losing "all ability to think and reason". This is the Left engaging in a WAR to take over our Republic! Has nothing to do with reasoning. We conservatives have to start realizing what we are up against. The Left cares nothing about reasoning with us. They are out to kick our behinds and transform this nation into something we will not recognize. They are out to criminalize conservatism, then change the way our elections are handled to put them in charge forever. This is not about reasoning.

Hmmm. This just might be a gift. The rest of the country can watch, and learn, from the train wreck. As they unroll their "election experiment," there is no way that it will resemble a free and fair election. The illegals will vote democrat to get the freebies and New York will become a welfare state, unable to provide benefits on the limited revenue they generate. Goodbye Big Apple.

The CCP has gotten its tentacles into the NYC voters. It used to be the Democratic Socialist Party now it is just the Democratic Party, but it takes its marching order from the Russian and Chinese partys. After all they bought the US president through his son.

I remember when Rush Limbaugh sent voters in certain states to declare party affiliation and screw crooked hillary off the primary ballot...it was delicious...he knew how to fight back...so the poster who suggested sending in non/citizens to New York to vote the Dems out...is a good idea...just like what rush did...it's like Gorka says...fight back..don't roll over...

The brave new mayor liked the bill, but apparently was savvy enough to not sign it allowing it to become law without his approval. He can claim that he approved it OR didn't sign it, depending on his audience.

The game plan for democrats is to grant someone something so they then feel an obligation to them, which would translate into a vote for them.
It's behind everything they do, and part and parcel of the whole "machine" and "patronage" systems.
It's why they can't do anything at the border, as they can't figure out how to "monetize" it into a benefit they can grant to those seeking entry. Thus, they resort to amnesty ideas, Dreamer ideas, etc... Gets those hooked into a potential promise.
The big distinction between a citizen and a resident should be firm. You can be a resident of a city or state, or even country, but not necessarily a citizen since you don't belong to that country - you're just a resident.
Then, figure out what residency means and how you establish residency. Most states have requirements of 1 year residency to be eligible to pay in-state tuition, for instance.
Most states will still require you to pay taxes in the former state for that portion of the year you lived there too, or even worked there (as athletes and performers who pay taxes in every state they perform in).

The GOP can point to dem in NYC as all of dem trying to have non-citizens rule over US.
This can be used against all of dem in elections.
"Do you support non-citizens voting in US elections: Yes or No?"
Hit dem again & again with this as we all know how much NYC is "loved" by the rest of US.
Use dem against dem.
