Scientists at CERN have turned lead into gold during high-speed experiments at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC), achieving a phenomenon once confined to ancient legend. The findings, published by the ALICE collaboration in Physical Review Journals, confirm that gold atoms can form under extreme conditions created during heavy-ion collisions at the LHC. While the transformation is temporary and cannot be harnessed for practical use, it marks a major scientific milestone. For centuries, alchemists have attempted to turn common metals into gold. This concept, once dismissed as pseudoscience, has now gained experimental footing.

The Justice Department on Friday opened an investigation into the planned Sharia City near Dallas, Senator Cornyn said. On Friday, President Donald Trump signed an Executive Order (EO) signalling his administration’s prioritization of the nation’s veterans rather than illegals. The EO will redirect funds from housing for illegals to establish the National Center for Warrior Independence. The Center will be located on the Veterans Affairs campus in West Los Angeles. A Trump administration official told Fox News, “The new National Center for Warrior Independence will help them and other veterans like them rebuild their lives.” The initiative will focus and providing shelter, healthcare, and job training to veterans in need and will partner with private organizations to expand support and resources.

The Catholic Church’s new Pope has publicly described migration as a “huge problem” even as he also urges Christians to treat migrants with respect.

Pope Leo XIV, the newly-elected leader of the Catholic Church, previously opposed the promotion of gender theory while serving as Bishop of Chiclayo in Peru.
According to the New York Times, the Holy Father previously “opposed a government plan to add teachings on gender in schools.”
“The promotion of gender ideology is confusing, because it seeks to create genders that don’t exist,” he told local news media at the time.
The pope’s statements stand in line with his predecessor, Pope Francis, who repeatedly denounced gender ideology as an attack on children. In 2024, Pope Francis even referred to gender ideology as one of the ugliest ideologies of modern times, per the Vatican News.

Newark, New Jersey, Mayor Ras Baraka and three congressional representatives, Bonnie Watson Coleman, Rob Menendez and LaMonica McIver attempted a political stunt at a local ICE detention facility in Newark. Mayor Ras Baraka was arrested.

Baraka, Coleman, Menendez and McIver created a public disturbance as part of their stunt and trespassed on federal facilities.

The Mayor of Newark was arrested for criminal trespass on Friday after storming an ICE detention facility.
Mayor Ras Baraka joined members of Congress to inspect the Delaney Hall detention facility in New Jersey when all hell broke loose.
In February, ICE announced it was expanding detention capacity with the Delaney Hall facility.
“This detention center is the first to open under the new administration,” said acting ICE Director Caleb Vitello in February. “The location near an international airport streamlines logistics, and helps facilitate the timely processing of individuals in our custody as we pursue President Trump’s mandate to arrest, detain and remove illegal aliens from our communities.”

The province of Alberta has a legitimate grievance with the ROC (Rest of Canada).
According to the Canadian Taxpayers Federation, since the inception of Canada’s equalization program in 1957, which sees the wealthier provinces subsidizing their less fortunate counterparts, Alberta has made a net contribution of $67 billion, $2.9 billion alone in 2021 — which in turn represents only a portion of the province’s immense financial contribution to federal coffers and the governments and residents of other provinces.
The Fraser Institute notes that the equalization drain represents “just a small part of the province’s outsized contribution to confederation in recent years.” It calculates that “the gap between Albertans’

Former President Joe Biden appeared on “The View” earlier this week, and Democrats are about as happy as a housefly in a spider web.
The former president sat down with the ladies on “The View” and discussed his presidency while slamming President Donald Trump, saying he had “the worst 100 days any president’s ever had.”
Biden laughably suggested that he was in full control of his faculties while serving as president. However, he did take a modicum of responsibility for the Democrats’ humiliating losses in 2024, saying, “I was in charge, and he won.”
There were some rather awkward moments during his appearance in which his wife, former first lady Jill Biden,

One of the left’s strangest hills to die on in recent years is this insistence that men and boys should be able to play in women’s and girls’ sports. For a political movement that has made such a big deal about feminism for generations, it’s inexplicable that leftists are okay with biological males taking medals, records, and scholarships away from the girls and women who have worked and trained so hard to excel on the field, on the court, or in the pool.
Thankfully, President Donald Trump recognizes the insanity of denying hardworking girls and women their ability to compete safely and fairly.

If you don’t know this is happening, that’s fine. You’re not missing much, and it’s a sign that this little tour Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) is going on is not resonating. Sanders has been crisscrossing the country, holding rallies to fight the oligarchy. It’s his favorite pastime. Since the fall of the Berlin Wall, Sanders has been warning about the oligarchy.
Most Americans don’t know or care about that word; even Democrats have criticized the tour as too esoteric and insular. If it’s only getting the Democratic Party base excited, that’s a problem. Their base isn’t broad or likable enough to win elections anymore.

Earlier this week, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents raided at least nine restaurants in the nation's capital, requesting proof that the establishments are not flouting the law by employing illegal aliens. Washington, D.C., presents itself as a so-called sanctuary city for illegal aliens, so the mere fact ICE agents targeted a few businesses there is hardly surprising.
What is perhaps more newsworthy is the specific names associated with those raided restaurants. One of those restaurants, Chef Geoff's, is owned by Geoff Tracy, the husband of CBS News anchor and former vice presidential debate co-moderator Norah O'Donnell.

Free PR tip for conservative women: If you’re ever asked to be on the TV news and talk about a faith-based issue (abortion, Christianity, etc.), never wear heavy makeup, loud clothes, or oversized jewelry. (Actually, this is a good rule to follow if you’re a man, too.) Even if you’re super proud of it, leave your super-big crucifix at home.
Why?
Because the liberal media likes to portray religious conservatives as crazy, unhinged lunatics, and that kind of attire feeds into the stereotype. Don’t help the enemy make you look stupid.

To everyone’s surprise, the new Pope is an American. Like almost everyone else in the world, I’d never heard of him before yesterday. But he looks like a straight shooter and a stand-up guy. And, as popes go, he looks pretty healthy.
For readers in my tribe who are dismayed that he once expressed some passing criticism of President Trump’s summary deportation of illegal aliens, I ask you: What’s a clergyman supposed to say – kick the SOBs out?
I did not expect to see this – an American Pope – now or ever. Reports are that the smoke-watchers crowding the Vatican grounds didn’t either, and were a bit disappointed

May 8, 2025, marks the 80th anniversary of the Allies’ triumph over Nazi Germany and the end of World War II in Europe. American boots on the ground proved decisive in the Western Theater, from North Africa to Italy to Normandy to Germany itself. And American industry and money proved to be an overwhelming advantage, pumping out a nearly inexhaustible supply of matériel for the Allied cause.

Famed Democrat strategist James Carville unleashed a blistering attack on Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.) after her controversial comments about white men resurfaced on social media. The outspoken former Clinton advisor didn't mince words at Wednesday's Truth Tellers Summit, where he systematically demolished Omar's inflammatory rhetoric.
Omar's comments, which initially came from a 2018 Al Jazeera interview during her congressional campaign, exposed the radical left's disturbing obsession with race-based attacks. In the interview, she outrageously claimed that Americans "should be more fearful of white men" than radical Islamic terrorists because they are "actually causing most of the deaths within this country."
