Another day, another batch of news coming from the people that demonstrates just how much the government has failed the people, especially the victims of Hurricane Helene.
Amid the heartbreak and loss, we've been learning that FEMA has completely used up its budget to the point where there's little to no funds for disaster relief, reportedly because much of the budget was used up helping illegals at the border.
This isn't exactly common knowledge because the media isn't being forthcoming with this information. In fact, every time I mention this on various accounts,

Kamala Harris visited Flint, Michigan, to talk to labor union members.
As we reported, she's been losing a lot of union support, so she has to shore up usually reliable supporters. The latest news was from the International Association of Fire Fighters (IAFF) , which said that it would not be endorsing a presidential candidate for 2024. The last time they did that was when they also didn't endorse Hillary Clinton in 2016. That was a big message to Kamala Harris, just one of the many messages from unions this year. She's losing a lot of support from union members who now support former President Donald Trump.

After January 6th, then-Rep. Liz Cheney (R-WY) hitched her political fortunes to opposing former President Donald Trump. Then-House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) saw that as an opportunity to give the Democrats and their coming J6 committee a facade of legitimacy. Pelosi wasn’t looking for a new friend; she wanted a useful stooge. Sure, Rep. Adam Kinzinger (R-IL) cried his way through the committee, and he made up the other part of the committee cabal, but Liz Cheney was the co-chair. She had had the gavel. She led the charge. Was it based on love of country? “Patriotism over party”? I submit that it is just the opposite:

On Friday, former President Donald Trump headed to Evans, Georgia, where he and Republican Governor Brian Kemp were briefed on the devastation from Hurricane Helene in the eastern part of the Peach state, and delivered remarks. You might want to read that sentence again. [Tweet]
They were invited by local officials, according to reports:
But the event is not being billed as a campaign appearance, and officials in Columbia County invited both men to attend the briefing, according to a person with knowledge of the appearance, granted anonymity to speak freely.
Of course, Kemp and Trump appearing in the same place is huge. They last did that in 2020,

We are hearing more and more about the devastation wrought by last weekend's Hurricane Helene, and how our fellow Americans in Western North Carolina, Eastern Tennessee, and Eastern Georgia have been adversely affected. Towns completely destroyed, too many lives lost, and way too much government incompetence and malfeasance.
But we are also hearing about the good: neighbors helping neighbors, brave heroes in private aircraft reaching remote areas with means of communication, supplies, food, water, and hope. This week's Feel-Good Friday offering is a Helene hero story of a different variety, but it is still one for the books.

Politically incorrect words don’t kill, but Venezuelan gangs do.
Donald Trump this week warned rally-goers in a small Wisconsin community that “if Kamala is reelected, your town and every town . . . will be transformed into a third-world hellhole.”
He’s repeatedly said that Biden-Harris open borders are turning New York into a “third world nation” and America into a “third world disaster” — and the rhetoric makes left-wing elites apoplectic.
Never mind the violence perpetrated by migrant gangs and the societal disorder caused by open borders: Their problem is with the words.
NPR says the term “third world” is “offensive.” Foreign Policy columnist Howard French calls it “utterly racist rhetoric.”

Kamala's been looking everywhere for the union label, but she just can't seem to find one.
In the latest blow to her campaign, the International Association of Fire Fighters (IAFF) has followed in the footsteps of the Teamsters union and declined to endorse a candidate in the 2024 presidential race. This breaks with a decades-long tradition of the IAFF endorsing nearly all Democrat presidential candidates.
A post that appeared on the IAFF's X account Thursday stated that their executive board voted not to endorse after "taking unprecedented steps to hear our members' views and the policy issues that matter most to them" over the past year.

The federal government's disaster response agency doesn't have enough money to help Americans left in distress by Hurricane Helene after blowing billions on illegal migrants.
Over the last two years, the Federal Emergency Management Agency has handed out more than $1 billion taxpayer dollars to specifically support illegal migrants with housing.
But now there's no money to help out the 150,000 American citizens who have reached out for federal assistance after their homes were damaged by Hurricane Helene.
'FEMA does not have the funds to make it through the season,' Department of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas admitted on Wednesday.

The devastation that Tropical Storm Helene inflicted on western North Carolina is still heartbreaking several days after the storm has passed. Countless North Carolinians are stranded in the mountains and valleys of that part of the state, many of them without medications or other things that they need to survive.
Towns and cities like Asheville are dealing with widespread damage and power outages. The Great Smoky Mountains National Park has several road and trail closures, even as U.S. 441, the main highway between Cherokee and Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge/Sevierville, remains open and passable.
It's hard to describe how difficult people in North Carolina have it,

Eva Edl is a survivor. The 89-year-old widow grew up in the former Yugoslavia, where she saw the horrors of Communism firsthand. She came to the U.S. because she thought it was a bastion of freedom and liberty, however, she now finds herself facing time in prison for trying to convince women not to kill their unborn babies.
When Edl was six, the Nazis invaded her homeland. Even though her family had German heritage, the Nazis considered her father an “impure Aryan” and sent him to the front lines. As he lay sick in a hospital bed, he sent a message to his family to flee,

Joe Biden and Kamala Harris got around to going to North Carolina and Georgia on Wednesday to review the damage from Hurricane Helene.
But in the face of all the devastation that has happened in the region, what Harris had to say seemed to be pitifully lacking.
Just as Biden did in Maui after the huge fire there when he promised $700, Harris promised a paltry sum of $750 payment to people, some of whom may just have lost everything. [Tweet, video]
If you lost your home, that would barely pay for a few days in a hotel and food for a family.

A Virginia school board must fork over more than $500,000 to a former French teacher who was fired in 2018 for refusing to use a transgender student’s preferred pronouns.
The teacher, Peter Vlaming, along with Christian legal group Alliance Defending Freedom (ADF) filed a lawsuit against the district, arguing his termination was a violation of his religious beliefs.
“I was wrongfully fired from my teaching job because my religious beliefs put me on a collision course with school administrators who mandated that teachers ascribe to only one perspective on gender identity—their preferred view,” Vlaming said in a statement following the settlement agreement.
Comments:
Western NC is Trump country, so delaying or denying help to them means that voting will be affected. This is just another form of election interference!!
