To help close the racial wealth gap, the U.S. government should pay $14 trillion in reparations to Black Americans, according to William A. Darity and A. Kirsten Mullen, authors of “From Here to Equality: Reparations for Black Americans in the Twenty-First Century.” In an interview with CNBC, Darity, a Duke University professor, and Mullen, a folklorist and writer, said the federal government is financially responsible because it was culpable for the enslavement of Black Americans and legal segregation in the United States. Mullen said “the federal government was party” to both the suppression of the Black vote and in some

They would be OK spreading out the reparations over 10 years. And then what? We would be Zimbabwe,

When will 14 trillion dollars not be worth 14 trillion? When it is wasted away on actions like reparations. Go ahead! Destroy the country! That is what actions like this are designed to do.

Most people would believe that University Professors are pretty smart people. Here we have 2 people teaching our youth who have fecal material for brains. The United States of America has a 31 Trillion dollar debt. A debt we cannot even afford to pay the interest on,and these 2 morons want to print out 14 Trillion dollars more to pay off a race of people who have been receiving reparations in the form of Affirmative action jobs, Welfare, and Education all along. This is the caliber of idiot we have teaching our youth.

Blacks already got their reparations what with trillions spent over the last 60 years for every possible government program to benefit them. If we're going to talk about reparations for something that was eliminated over 150 years ago, how about reparations for the families of the 400,000+ white union soldiers who died freeing blacks from slavery.

How many lives were lost, both Union and Confederate, during the War Between the States? Conservative estimate is 620,000 killed, not including wounded. Some estimates are as high as 850,000. More Americans were killed in that war alone than all previous wars combined until Vietnam. In any event, 2% of the total population died from that war over the question of slavery. That would be 6 million lives lost relative to our current population. Reparations for slavery? No. That ransom was paid for in blood over 150 years ago by our forefathers in a war that no civilization before or since that fought internally over the question of slavery.

Okay, then let’s go back and give reparations to the family of every salve in every nation on this planet since the beginning of time. This is nothing more at best a shakedown and at worst an evil way to drive an even more dangerous division in the country and throughout the West. It no doubt it is a combination of both. Since life was created on this planet the strong have taken the weaker as slaves. That fact does not make it right but it is reality. Slavery was a lucrative way to make a living and unfortunately still is in many parts of the world. How can we ignore the suffering of hundreds of thousands if not millions of men, women and children of every color and creed living in bondage right now? Human nature is brutal and will be as long as human beings draw breath. Righting the past at the expense of the present seems to be the ultimate sin of depraved indifference to real time suffering. This has nothing to do with compassion or righting wrongs. It is just a bad idea by ungrateful people out for some quick cash who won’t even acknowledge the hundreds of thousands of white men who fought bled and died for the freedom of blacks simply because they knew it was an abomination and wished to abolish it. Where do the families of these men go to get even a thank you?

I agree with this proposal. The government should create a new tax that is levied on all White Liberals who agree with this proposal and the money should come from them to be used exclusively for this purpose. You would have to voluntarily sign up for the tax so it would not run afoul of the equal treatment under the law clause. Go for it leftists.

Considering they have forgotten the blood already poured out for their freedom, and considering they slander the motives of those who went to their aid back then, I don't think this is going to build peace or reconciliation. And it isn't fair in any case. If you want to find the descendants of slaveowners past, look to the Black community. The rest of the country are in large part newcomers since slavery was over. In short. No. Our ancestors died for you. Taking note of your flat out ingratitude, I am going to avoid this topic forever so I do not lose my temper. What I won't do, is support your slanders of those who died for you. The only use in helping you is to please God. You remember nothing. ... but He does.

“Democrat Party should pay reparations to Black Americans” There, fixed the headline . . . Democrats were responsible for the institution of slavery up to the end of the Civil War, then resistance to post-Civil War Reconstruction efforts, then the propagation of Jim Crow laws and resistance to integration starting the 1950s and to civil rights legislation in the 1960s. Dim “social welfare” policies continue to keep many Black Americans in a condition of virtual slavery (dependence) even today.

Here's your "reparations": 618,222 Total Civil War Dead 360,222 Union 258,000 Confederate Using the Federal Aviation Administration's very conservative $200,000 amount for human life lost in plane accidents applied to the above, blacks owe the relatives of Union dead $72B for the privilege of being free in America today. If you don't pay it back, there's a country called "Liberia" over in Africa that was literally "made" for you. We all know that they can't even account for the billions the U.S. gov't has sent to Ukraine. As President Biden prepares to launch another White House bid, the nascent movement to find a replacement to run in his place has flamed out, with Democrats in both wings of the party pleased with the expected direction of his campaign and no alternative in sight. Progressives have wondered how Biden will position himself in 2024, having seen him both tack to the middle and veer to the left at different points in office. Dozens of students walked out of their New Hampshire school after the district banned urinals in a compromise to a proposal that would have blocked children from using facilities based on their gender identity. The school board decided a few days before the Friday walkout to prohibit students at Milford Middle School and Milford High School from using urinals or shared spaces in locker rooms. The ban in a town of about 15,000 people roughly 35 miles (56 kilometers) from Concord, New Hampshire's capital, was the culmination of a long debate about district rules about bathroom use and gender identity.

The former President has blasted Rihanna for the 'worst halftime show in Super Bowl history' after she already insulted 'far more than half our nation' by spray painting 'f*** Donald Trump' on a car.  Rihanna, with her baby bump beaming out of her red ensemble, stormed the stage in Arizona before the Chiefs became Super Bowl champions on Sunday night.  She gave the millions of viewers a sultry performance - however her racy dancing and risqué lyrics were perhaps too much for some family-friendly fans. Donald Trump - who has butted heads with the Barbadian singer multiple times in the past - clearly was not impressed

Rihanna stole the show during the Super Bowl half time performance on Sunday night - but some fans were confused by the sultry energy she brought to the stage.  The Shine Bright Like a Diamond singer, 34, wowed fans in a sexy all-red outfit - and in a swooping dance move, seemed to grab her crotch before licking her fingers. Her risqué show saw her belt out some of her greatest hits, including Run This Town and We Found Love at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona, where the Philadelphia Eagles are taking on the Kansas City Chiefs.

A Canadian Catholic school pupil who was suspended last November for saying there are only two genders was arrested this week after attempting to return to class without renouncing his beliefs. Josh Alexander, 16, was arrested on Monday afternoon at St Joseph’s Catholic High School in Renfrew, Ontario after trying to attend class after he had been suspended in November for saying there are only two genders during a class discussion. “I got suspended for comments made during a class discussion,” Alexander said. “It was about male students using female washrooms, gender dysphoria and male breastfeeding.

Good news, everybody. All those UFOs being shot down over the US and Canada might not be from China after all, leaving the possibility that it’s just an alien invasion on the table. According to the Chicoms, they have detected an unidentified craft over Rizhao and have scrambled jets in response, warning fishermen to stay alert if something comes crashing down out of the sky. That news was about an hour old as of this writing and no further news has been released on whether China successfully engaged the supposed craft. That is if there even was a UFO as the communists claim. It seems far more likely

Back in 2017, when Amy Coney Barrett was undergoing confirmation hearings for her nomination to the 7th Circuit Court of Appeals, Democratic Sen. Dianne Feinstein expressed concern about Judge Barrett’s devotion to her Catholic faith. “The dogma lives loudly within you,” Feinstein said. Two years later, Brian Buescher, a nominee to the federal bench in Ohio, faced criticism from Democratic Sens. Kamala Harris and Mazie Hirono for his membership in the Knights of Columbus. Then, an article in the Atlantic magazine argued that the Catholic rosary symbolized religious radicalism and had become a “weapon” for those dangerous white Christian nationalists.

President Biden will be traveling to Poland at the end of the month to mark the one-year mark of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, the White House announced on Friday. White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre said that the president would be visiting the NATO ally from Feb. 20 to Feb. 22. The White House did not say whether Biden would at some point travel to Ukraine. “He will meet with President Duda of Poland to discuss our bilateral cooperation as well as our collective efforts to support Ukraine and bolster NATO’s deterrence,” Jean-Pierre said. She added that the president would “deliver remarks ahead of the one-year mark of the Russian invasion of Ukraine,

A few weeks after five Memphis Police officers administered a fatal beating to Tyre Nichols on Jan. 7, 2023, rumors began circulating that there may have been a personal aspect to the case. On Feb. 2, I reported: It began with a rumor. Sir Maejor, an ethnically black actor and model with a fair complexion due to albinism, tweeted Monday that “I am being told that Tyre Nichols was in a relationship with and worked at a Memphis @FedEx with #MemphisPolice Demetrius Halys’s ex-girlfriend & baby mama.” Not only that, but “After the beating Officer Halys took a pictures of #TyreNichols face and sent it to his babymama.”

Who could have possibly predicted this entirely inevitable outcome? The Point did, obviously. Now the media is catching up and acting like crowdsourcing migration was ever going to end any other way. "Pedro Yudel Bruzon was looking for someone in the U.S. to support his effort to seek asylum when he landed on a Facebook page filled with posts demanding up to $10,000 for a financial sponsor. It’s part of an underground market that’s emerged since the Biden administration announced it would accept 30,000 immigrants each month arriving by air from Venezuela, Cuba, Nicaragua and Haiti. Applicants for the humanitarian parole program need someone in the U.S., often a friend or relative,

A Yale University professor has sparked outrage by suggesting the only way to deal with Japan's rapidly aging population is a mass suicide and disembowelment.  Yusuke Narita, an assistant professor of economics at Yale, defended his views in a New York Times profile this weekend after he made the remarks on a streaming news program in 2021. 'I feel like the only solution is pretty clear,' he said at the time. 'In the end, isn't it mass suicide and mass 'seppuku' of the elderly?'  Seppuku was a ritual disembowelment that was forced upon samurai who had brought dishonor to themselves in 19th century Japan.

Cue the Twilight Zone theme. The Wall Street Journal reported the object shot down over by U.S. planes Lake Huron Sunday afternoon was “shaped like an octagon.” Rep. Jack Bergman (R-MI) said in an interview with Fox News a few minutes ago the object shot down by an F-16 that fired an AIM-9 Sidewinder missile was an “octagonal structure” over Lake Huron at about 20,000 feet. Sen. Jon Tester (D-MT) implied in a statement the object was the same one tracked over Montana Saturday night (tweet posted further down in article.
