Video, Day Three of House Speaker Voting
– Two Lobbyist Groups Likely to Determine Outcome

Most people are unaware that outside lobbyist groups hold the power over the internal dynamic. In addition to internal financial systems, each congressperson is aligned with a lobbyist group that pays for their political election efforts, (snip) According to Politico, the Congressional Leadership Fund (team McCarthy) has come to an agreement with the Club for Growth Fund (team not McCarthy) and worked out a deal the representatives may be permitted to support. The deal “includes a vote on term limits for members, more seats for Freedom Caucus members on the powerful House Rules Committee and allowing a single member to force a vote on ousting the speaker.”

Apparently it didn’t work.

What Shakespeare wrote about the lawyers should apply to the lobbyists. It’s impossible to imagine how better our lives most likely would’ve been were it not for lobbyists.

Read the entire article. Lobbyists are only the tip of the spear. The ENTIRE construct and process are diseased. We are electing clowns, and I mean that in the technical sense. They simply occupy a seat every day after getting dressed in their clown suit and painting their faces. Every politician is "owned" by some group. Somebody has their hand up an orifice on the pol to make his or her mouth move. Thank you Sundance for clearing this all up. I no longer have to participate in this charade. Nothing I do can make a difference. I'm done...

President Joe Biden is finally headed to the U.S.-Mexico border, which has been in a state of crisis since he took office, and it appears when he visits El Paso, the true reality of the situation might not be evident. Due to the recent influx of illegal immigrants in the El Paso Sector, local shelters have been out of capacity for weeks, forcing many to camp out on the streets in different areas of downtown. But there are now reports of the camps being cleared ahead of Biden visiting the city on Sunday: The hundreds of people camped out on individual blocks surrounding the Greyhound Bus Station and Sacred Heart Church have

GOP Rep. Matt Rosendale appeared on FOX News on Sunday to explain why he and several other members of the House GOP will block Kevin McCarthy's path to becoming House Speaker: REP. MATT ROSENDALE: We gave Kevin McCarthy opportunities over the last two years to demonstrate leadership skills, whether it was the C.R., the NDAA, the so-called infrastructure bill -- we put him in a position where he could have negotiated some common-sense reforms, and he failed on every measure. Barring some last-minute rescue by a judge or the governor of Missouri, tonight will be the last night in the violent and crazy life of Amber McLaughlin. The media is billing this as the first execution of a transgender. Nearly two decades ago as Scott McLaughlin, he brutally raped and killed his estranged girlfriend, Beverly Guenther, despite a protective order. The LGBT crowd might want to give McLaughlin's case a hard pass. Scott McLaughlin's criminal career began in 1992 when he was convicted of raping a 14-year-old girl. He was 18. He served time in prison and was placed on the sex offender registry. Release in 1997, he apparently went straight.

Dr. Yusuf Saleeby has practiced medicine for more than 30 years. He serves patients in South Carolina and until recently had never faced an investigation from his state medical board. But after Saleeby started prescribing ivermectin to his patients, he was reported to the board, which opened an investigation, despite the state’s attorney general’s promise that his office wouldn’t prosecute doctors who prescribed off-label medications. Jennifer Wright, a nurse practitioner and clinical director who practices in Florida, but can prescribe across state lines, told The Epoch Times she received a letter from the Office of the Attorney General of New York ordering her not to prescribe ivermectin.

I have been asked to speculate about the cardiac arrest suffered by Damar Hamlin. First off, I truly believe that giving his physicians and trainers space to work professionally is critical: we need to allow them to do the tests, diagnostics and whatever procedures need to be performed outside of the glare of corporate media AND internet armchair physicians. We won’t get the details we would like at the moment we would like, (snip)Corporate media and the news cycle are monsters, and they prey on these types of stories and controversies, which generate clicks, views, likes and revenue. “If it bleeds, it leads”. Let’s not play into this please.

In a statement on the second anniversary of the Capitol riot, Garland appeared to link the riot to the deaths: “Two years ago, the United States Capitol was attacked as lawmakers met to affirm the results of a presidential election. When the House Jan. 6 committee released hundreds of documents from its investigation online at the end of the year, it inadvertently made public nearly 2,000 Social Security numbers belonging to high profile individuals who visited the White House in December 2020, according to a report. The Washington Post reported Friday that the leaked Social Security information was included in a spreadsheet buried within the "massive cache" of records from the committee's work. Social Security numbers belonging to at least three members of Trump's cabinet, a few Republican governors, and several Trump associates were reportedly compromised. The data was part of the White House visitor logs published by the committee.

Republican Kevin McCarthy has been elected as the new US Speaker after winning the 15th vote following chaotic scenes in Congress. Mr McCarthy's party had taken control of the House – the US lower chamber – following the midterm elections in the autumn, with a slim 222-212 majority. Usually, election of the Speaker follows seamlessly, as a formality, with the leader of the largest party a shoo-in for the job. However, recent splits in the Republican party meant that did not happen until the 15th round of voting. In the 14th ballot, Mr McCarthy received 216 votes - one shy of the number needed for a victory - as a small faction
