When fall comes around, everyone starts thinking about Christmas. People are getting their shopping lists ready and picking up items for their parties. For kids, this is the perfect opportunity to show off how good they’ve been during the year.
Unfortunately, Christmas can also bring some very sad and tragic episodes. We’re not talking about getting the wrong size of clothes or the wrong video game system, either. Many times, people encounter terrible family situations, illness, or death. Anyone who watches the news will hear about something horrific happening during the holiday. Having to deal with a terrible scenario is something no one expects during such a joyous season.
I tried to rewatch and I can't I'm fighting back tears and feel enraged ...

But I’ll bet if she were a trans girl in a wheelchair, she would be placed front and center and have a solo performance also.

I guess she didn't check enough inclusion/perversion boxes the dems are so proud of.

Heartbreaking! And to boot, the teacher had her big backside toward the little girl. No way this wasn't intentional.

It's hard to tell from the clip just what the children were performing, but it wasn't exactly Dance of the Young Swans from the Nutcracker. I can think of several ways the girl could better have participated. The aunt could have moved her niece about, so she certainly could have held hands in the circle. The teacher might have asked if two other children would like to derive the satisfaction and pride of helping a classmate experience more joy and sense of belonging. Easy for me to say as an outsider. But I think it is clear that more could have---and should have been done.Hopefully the aunt's posting will be like a spreading ripple on a pond.

Shameful and disgusting.
The student might not be able to sing on pitch or be able to sing in rhytmic sync with the group, but simply holding a 'bluebird' is an epic fail that is an insult to her humanity.
Scripture says to make a 'joyful noise' and the little girl was prevented from doing that....

This may sound cold, but I don’t believe we have any idea what is happening in this video.
This site regularly presents videos with the writer’s take on what we aee supposed to be seeing. She admits she doesn’t know what the children were doing and what was going on with the little girl in the wheelchair.
This is mind manipulation. Done all the time with videos and photos. I don’t buy it.

Thank you, #11. Was feeling like a monster when reading the replies because my first reaction was that the child may have other special needs. That said, her placement could have been better but no cause to get the vapors.

#11 She could have definitely been holding hands or at the least been in the circle..they are not doing anything that she couldn't do, what's your excuse for behavior like this?

FTA: I will give her the benefit of the doubt that she’s just a moron who needs serious professional development about how to accommodate special needs students.
That's possible. Or she really is a nasty, cold-hearted woman who knew exactly what she was doing to this child.

The child’s placement immediately outside the circle; was this their attempt to include her or to
emphasize her non inclusion? If she was capable of holding hands, then definitely get her in the circle and while the other children were doing their little dance thing, the teacher could have stood by this child and maybe held her hand. And I really felt badly that someone would criticize the aunt’s English. I fire off texts all the time with errors, usually due to autocorrect that I don’t catch. But the aunt was sharing her feelings, not submitting an essay to display her writing skills. Wow. What have we become?

I'm more in agreement with poster #11. The teacher seemed to have lost control over the whole performance or whatever it was towards the end. I thought having the wheelchair in the circle was a hazard for the other children. I used to teach dance to small children, and it's hard to keep a group that size under control during a performance. These were children who don't have complete control over their movements as was demonstrated at the end of the performance. The wheelchair was easily a trip and fall device for all that was happening there. When children lose their balance, anything can happen. I didn't see the offense, but the little baby girl looked very sad. I also give the principal a pass; they have to put out a lot of fires during the course of a day. You can't fault him for not being 100 percent engaged in the performance.

I never was a fan of the teacher’s unions and this confirms my view. They are downright evil. Look how the corona virus lock down was handled. Look what they think of school choice.
They are the downfall of this once great nation.

"Tolerance and diversity" making making it the way down to kindergarten, However it does not apply to the "disabled" since they are not included in the "politically correct" victim group catalogue. May the Good Lord have mercy on the souls of the ideology's practitioners.

I had a tiny, little baby girl for almost four years. Most of the stares we got in grocery stores and restaurants were curious but not unkind, and many were wonderfully encouraging. Our littlest one had a severe congenital heart condition and she was certainly retarded. She would have been happy and delighted to join in with the other children and try to be a part of what they were doing. And she would have been very sad and tearful to be excluded. I so understand #1's reaction. I cannot watch the video.
Yesterday at a wonderful lunch I enjoyed interacting with a young retarded boy sitting at a nearby table. Young people like that love to be included and kudo's to the family for bringing him along. He didn't eat much but he had fun making cute faces at other diners, including me.
I love this definition of a teacher: A good teacher is one who is able to explain and demonstrate concepts in a variety of ways for a variety of different learners and learning styles. A good teacher is a good learner—they learn how their student(s) learn—and modify their teaching accordingly."

Not certain I agree with #11. If there are safety concerns, there are other inclusive actions that could have been taken. Yes, I admit you can't actually watch what is happening but the fact that she is outside the circle suggests something. . .

Why am I so angry? Under Communism, this little girl would be tossed into the garbage! There is no room for Comrades that can’t pull for the state! Evil increases across the earth…as Christ predicted!
