Democrat Rep. Jaime Raskin on Sunday called the Electoral College a ‘danger to the American people’ during an appearance on CBS’s “Face the Nation.” “Face the Nation” host Margaret Brennan asked Raskin about the January 6 Committee and the Electoral Count Reform Act that just passed both chambers of Congress as part of the $1.7 trillion Omnibus bill. Raskin called the Electoral College a danger to the American people and said the Electoral Count Reform Act didn’t go far enough.

Oh by all means just get rid of the electoral college and this country will become a mob-rule "democracy". We are a Republic, not a democracy. Look up the difference.

Democrats ķeep throwing around the " threat to democracy" . They blame everyone else as the threat when the Democrat's uncontrolled thirst for power is the true threat. They believe in mob rule, which quickly devolves into dictatorship. Luckily, the USA is a Representative Republic , mot a pure democracy. As a Congressman, Rep. Raskin should know the difference. Since he apparently doesn't , he shouldn't be in Congress!

The founding fathers set up the electoral college to help eliminate the larger states from having undue influence in running the government. It works to a certain extent; however, I don't think it's perfect. I believe a fairer system was shot down by the representatives of the larger states during the debate of the Constitution which would have worked along the same rules of electing the number of Senators from each state. So, we have what we have now which comes down to winning eight to ten states to get elected.

Why to you think that Biden and the Democrats are flooding the USA with unlimited millions of poor and uneducated third world people as possible who Biden and the Democrats are allowing to unlawfully enter the USA? Well Biden and the Democrats first of all do not consider those foreign people to be illegal aliens, but to be prospective future leftist, progressive, and socialist Democrat voters. As the Biden and Democrat scheme continues, and there are already calls for the Congress, under the guise of needed “comprehensive immigration reform” to grant a Democrat designed “path to citizenship” amnesty to just about the entire and rapidly growing illegal alien population, amounting to over 20 million illegal aliens, who are thought to be in the USA. Actually nobody knows the true numbers, no matter as such an amnesty would grant that illegal alien population a legal immigration status, and then US Citizenship with US voting rights. If the wimpy Republicans and RINOS were to cave, as they usually do, and allow such a Democrat amnesty to become law, the Democrats would use that foreign born population’s leftist and socialist oriented votes to remain in permanent political power. As a result with the leftist Democrat factions in permanent political power, the USA would never again have the political ability or will to again ever effectively enforce the immigration laws, resulting in an unending number of world people who fit with the categories of Democrat identity politics entering the USA as they wish. Chances are the Democrats would then gain the political support to get rid of the Electoral College. The USA would then transition into some sort of of one party and minority-majority controlled country.

Why did Republicans underperform during the 2022 mid-terms? That question has become a near-constant point of contention on the right. Was it a candidate quality issue? I’d argue that was certainly the case in several high-profile races, but that’s obviously not the only thing that plagued the GOP. There was also a lack of coherent messaging from leadership, and in many important races, Democrats were simply able to outspend their opponents by large margins. The RNC’s inability to harvest votes and bank early votes didn’t help either. Donald Trump is looking elsewhere for an explanation, though. In an eyebrow-raising rant on Sunday, he appeared to blame pro-lifers for GOP woes.
