As you probably know, some conservatives in the House of Representatives are hesitant to back Rep. Kevin McCarthy of California as House Speaker. You may not have heard that Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene of Georgia is not one of them. Not only is she supporting McCarthy for Speaker, but she is also tangling with other Republicans who are not.(Snip)The one thing people are sick and tired of from Washington, D.C., is empty promises. Lying to the base is a red line for me, and that’s what five of my closest colleagues are doing when they claim a consensus House Speaker candidate will emerge as they oppose Kevin McCarthy.

The RNC was involved in those operations that gave us Ryan and Pence. Get rid of RNC and a respectable speaker will arise.

While Nancy "Puke" Pelosi laughs and celebrates the $Trillion+ spending bill. Mitch "MultiUseless" McConnell is probably writing another fake "stern" letter that Chuck Schumer has ordered him to do.

Here's a novel idea. How about letting Republican voters pick who leads the Senate and House Republicans. I'll bet McConnell gets thrown out as leader replaced by someone that has the country and Republican voters backs. It could be a yearly election to decide who leads. Screw up with the budget negotiations, you're out as leader. Side with demosluts on border or taxes, pack your bags.

Wow, didn't take ole' Marge very long after her re-election to travel over to the dark side of the Federal Government and support a proven liar, coward and corrupt traitor like McCarthy for Speaker. Wonder how much she sold out for? We cannot continue down the same path of not having true, patriotic, and above all honest leaders in all levels of the republican party. McCarthy must no be Speaker. Seismic change must occur to take back our Republic, which sorry to say is not what is going to happen with Republican Party continuously happening betraying us.

Greene is correct. Now is not the time for the fight . Seat McCarthy under duress and force his hand to your play. We've got the man power, let Greene and her cohorts establish the rules and fight for them.

"a consensus House Speaker" means one that can get DEMOCRAT support. MTG is 100% correct.. This is NOT a hill for Gaetz, Boebert, Biggs et al to die on (and throw away all hope for this Congress.

The Republicans are better than the Democrats, right?
No expectations, never be disappointed.
Washington is a bad joke.

She sure is putting a lot of her credibility on the line for someone who has failed us time and time again. She must think it's worth it. Many on this site have said that McCarthy is Paul Ryan. We always have to work across the aisle, but the left doesn't. They ram through whatever they want and don't even try to get Pubs on their side. If they do, it's gravy, but they don't waste five minutes trying. They're successful without us, but we can't be successful without them. I'm so sick of this weakness on our side. *Reminder, Kevin can end all this by withdrawing his insistence on being Speaker and get behind a better candidate. It doesn't have to be him. Heck! if everybody is scared to take it on, I can come there and take the job! Goodness!

This would be hilarious if it wasn't so delusional. There will be no changes regardless of who is Speaker. It's the Uniparty with a few outliers. And, while the outliers are right, that really doesn't matter, now does it? The Pubbies will simply cuck themselves to the Leftists and so-call bipartisan Dimocrits, and it will be business as usual.

I get what Greene is doing. Look, no congressman has suffered more than Greene at the hands of the democrats AS WELL AS McCarthy who didn't even pretend to be outraged when Pelosi prohibited her from serving on any committees. That said, the republican party is so weak at this point that there is no choice but to support the doltish, moronic pretty boy, McCarthy. It is unfortunate that he is not the gutter fighter that we need and a real gutter fighter unfortunately has not stepped up to run for Speaker. If McCarthy is as good as we can get then vote for the idiot. BUT, I pray the so-called holdouts are at least extracting some concessions to further the conservative cause before they vote for pretty boy. Quite frankly, I am not optimistic at all, that the enormously difficult and courageous steps that need to be taken to get our country back on track, will happen with this lackluster bunch of republicans.

No one is perfect. MTG is somehow confused about how much of a RINO rat McCarthy is. That's a shame.
Stop voting for Republicans.

Representative Greene points to a “Never Kevin” trick being done before that managed to remove John Boehner by using a rule called “Vacate the Chair” and wound up getting Paul Ryan as Speaker. Mr. LaChance opines that if the effort is successful, Republicans could “give us something worse than Paul Ryan.”
