The unlawfully constituted and conducted January 6 Committee referred Donald Trump for a criminal indictment to keep him from running again in 2024. The problem for the Democrats, unfamiliar as they are with the Constitution and with American history, is that there is no reason for Trump not to run and win, even if he’s deep in the bowels of Leavenworth or some other federal penitentiary.
The United States Constitution is succinct when it comes to the requirements for president. Article II, Section 1 provides:

My preference is to vote for DeSantis, but honestly, if the Democrats go through with their insanity to indict Trump, and particularly if they end up convicting him, I would feel it is my sacred DUTY to vote for Trump. They have been so over the top in hounding that man who has done nothing but good things for this country that I would love to stick it to them and watch their exploding heads as he runs the country from Ft Leavenworth and finally gets his just revenge on them.

DJT can run but he cannot win a national election. He will also get us decimated in Congress and after they pack the courts, we will have little chance of saving our Country. His policies are spot on, and we know what the deep state did with a suborned FBI, social media and the far-left press, however, winning is paramount. We have successful and proven young Governors who can and will win.

As Dan Bongino said, garland is gonna look mighty foolish when he announces in court that Trump is guilty of sedition for urging his followers to practice their 1st amendment right, and to do it peacefully and patriotically.

What would happen if the left manages to keep Trump off of the ballot but then 100 million citizens write in his name? Seriously. Does anyone have an answer?

Answer, #9? Those 100M ballots will just disappear. You know - fire, water main break, or whatever other contingency they can dream up.

Anybody who thinks DeSantis should run is off their rocker:
1. Trump is a known entity and the difference between now and then is still fresh in our minds.
2. Re-electing Trump will redress what most voters now consider a moral and legal wrong.
3. Throwing Trump out will be a route for the Dems, and emboldened by the Republican surrender,
4. they will tear into DeSantis with even greater viciousness. They can lie and cheat with impunity, so they will.
5. Florida, one of the few Republican outposts, will lose a great governor at a critical time, and we'll waste our candidate before he has acquired full strength.
Eventually everyone realizes that they don't have to like somebody in order to trust them. We know that Trump did the right thing despite his many flaws.
If he can loosen up and humorously own some of what voters perceive as his foibles, they can become virtues. In other words, he can become a "character," of whom it will be said,"he's an a-whole, but he's our a-whole."
That is why I believe this election will be different.

What happens with DOJ now is almost superfluous. The average American thinks government criminal accusations are always based on real evidence of guilt and they will vote accordingly. Dims count on this and don't care if no formal charges are levied or a jury finds someone innocent. Yet another immoral use of government processes for political gain.

Final thought: if we abandon Trump, Garland will see it as a green light and Trump may go to jail.

If Trump is on the ballot, I will vote for him. Now more than ever. Collectively - it's the only pushback to the toilet swirl we're going through. It's not a good move - it's bound to be answered with the Left swinging more violently Left. But it's the only move remaining.

If Trump is indicted his lawyers will be able to subpoena and depose everyone involved (with Trump present at all depositions). Since Pelosi was responsible for capital security they'll start with her followed up with the FBI agents the committee admitted where in the crowd not to mention the Director of the FBI while your at it and, since she gave multiple comments to the media, Liz Cheney can be subpoenaed too.
I actually hope they do try to indict Trump just to see the response.

Plan A: Suppress the Trump vote enough so voter fraud carries the day.
Plan B: Jail Trump and remove his name from all ballots.
Representative government, people! (/ssssssssss)

I believe Garland will indict Trump, the Democrats spent a ton of money making up their case for it, but it won't amount to much.

#5: "DJT can run but he cannot win a national election."
You are absolutely right.....
#11: "Anybody who thinks DeSantis should run is off their rocker"
If the objective is to win in 2024, then DeSantis looks like our best chance. If you want to keep losing elections we should win (e.g. Senate races in NH, PA, GA, AZ and NV) then Trump is your guy. Analysis of the mid-term clearly show that women, including Republican women, and Independents voted against Trump's hand picked candidates in droves. In PA Fedderman got 58% of the Independents, Oz got only 38%. Trump hasn't be treated fairly, but he is often his worst enemy. Many voters are tired of the drama, vendettas, and Trump's practice of putting himself (ego) ahead of what is good for the conservative movement and the country. Last, but not least, nobody energizes Dems to get out and vote like Trump does, nobody. All this adds up to a lot of 2024 losses if Trump is the nominee.
I want to win, period. Nothing else matters !!

Even if most of us here would vote for DJT, especially if he's indicted, we are still a minority of Republicans/Indies. Fear of his losing will keep many voters away in a primary. If he runs 3rd party, he'll be a spoiler, to my regret.
We need to see where next year goes, but the Uniparty want's Trump gone more than 100 million of us want him back
