On Sunday, Elon Musk posted a Twitter poll asking, “Should I step down as head of Twitter?” and promised to “abide by the results” of the poll. Nearly 17 million users voted, and 58% said yes. Musk has previously stuck to his word that he’d abide by the results of polls he’s conducted, but the anti-free speech left shouldn’t get too excited that he’ll actually step down as CEO. In a separate tweet, Musk added, “The question is not finding a CEO, the question is finding a CEO who can keep Twitter alive.” Then, in response to a tweet suggesting that Musk already has a successor picked out, Musk tweeted,

Yes he will. And turn over the day-to-day responsibilities to a new executive. Elon has more important things to do than fiddle with tweets.

I don't think Musk will really give up control of Twitter. The trick is to find someone who has the capability of doing the job yet accept this fact. You can call him CEO or Dogcatcher.

New York — Sam Bankman-Fried will be extradited to the United States Wednesday night, Bahamas Attorney General Sen. Ryan Pinder confirmed. Bankman-Fried will be extradited after the Foreign Minister of the Bahamas signed a warrant of surrender allowing his extradition to the United States, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the Bahamas confirmed in a statement. Earlier, lawyers for Bankman-Fried were negotiating with federal prosecutors in New York on a bail arrangement that would enable him to avoid detention, people familiar with the matter told CNN. FTX crypto exchange founder Bankman-Fried, who oversaw his now-bankrupt empire from a luxury compound in the Bahamas,

Newly indicted FTX founder Sam Bankman-Fried is slated to appear in court in the Bahamas again on Monday, where he reportedly will change course and agree to no longer fight extradition to the U.S. Reuters first reported news of the reversal on Saturday. An unnamed official who interacts with Bankman-Fried on a daily basis at the Bahamian prison known as Fox Hill told The Washington Post that the disgraced FTX founder remarked Friday that he would agree to be extradited back to the US to "face the music" if his lawyers could not persuade a judge to grant him bail. Their first attempt at bail failed after telling the judge Bankman-Fried

Sam Bankman-Fried was shuffled off to his new digs in the Bahamas, where it seems likely that he will be spending a great deal of time. That his “mortal coil” might be shuffled off as well is an open question in the era of Jeffrey Epstein. Who are the bigger fraudsters, though? A spoiled kid who bilked his investors for billions or a bureaucracy that prints and spends public money with reckless abandon? It would take an eternity for SBF to graduate to the level of these government and quasi-government scammers. At the time of his bankruptcy filing, FTX’s liabilities were in the neighborhood of ten to fifty billion dollars.

Politicians frequently lie, but Old Joe Biden’s career record is clear: He makes Josef Goebbels look honest. Biden is such a massive liar that it’s unclear whether or not he has ever told the truth in an entire lifetime of grift and corruption. On Friday afternoon, however, Biden outdid himself, appearing at the Delaware Veteran’s Summit and telling so many outrageous lies about his career and his family that if he were a conservative, establishment media “fact checkers” would have died of exhaustion. It’s lucky for them that whenever Old Joe speaks, they take the day off. Biden claimed that when he was elected vice president in 2008,

As Sam Bankman-Fried was taken away in handcuffs, some people who have been watching the implosion of FTX are wondering: Where's Caroline Ellison, his onetime girlfriend who ran his crypto hedge fund Alameda Research? So far, legal watchers say US prosecutors and regulators have been tight-lipped: The criminal indictment made no mention of Ellison, and the SEC's civil complaint targeted just Bankman-Fried. But in investigating what US Attorney Damian Williams called "one of the biggest financial frauds in American history," the government is almost certainly looking beyond Bankman-Fried, legal experts said. "It would not surprise me if Ellison has already spoken with prosecutors,"

Wannabe Speaker of the House Rep. Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) has a narrowing path to achieve his goal, largely because the opposition to him is adamant that he not ascend to the speakership. At least seven members have indicated they will not vote for McCarthy under any circumstances. And that sets the stage for a once-in-a-century floor fight that is likely to leave the Republican majority in the House in disarray and the Democrats grinning from ear to ear. It’s even remotely possible that a Democrat could squeak into the speaker’s chair. It’s highly unlikely, but if the vote for speaker goes on long enough, a few moderate Republicans might say, “to hell

If you are a conservative voter in America today at some point you have to realize you have no representation in the US Senate. Mitch McConnell has a 33 percent approval rating, the lowest in the US Senate and yet he was reelected as GOP Leader with 37 votes to 10 votes for Senator Scott. The Senate Republicans REALLY, really hate their base. The bill gives another $44.9 billion to Ukraine — where it disappears into the ether. The bill also makes it impossible for Americans to challenge a stolen election.

In a press conference on Tuesday afternoon in the U.S. Capitol, Senate GOP Leader Mitch McConnell of Kentucky was talking about priorities for the United States as lawmakers rush to pass a $1.7 trillion omnibus bill.  According to Leader McConnell — who said he was speaking for "most Republicans" — the "number one priority" for the United States is not any of the pressing domestic issues plaguing Americans as a result of President Joe Biden and his administration. No, McConnell said that "providing assistance for Ukrainians to defeat the Russians is the number one priority for the United States right now, according to most Republicans." Really?

Add yet another government overreach to the “Things You Didn’t Think Could Happen in America” file: Democrats on the lame-duck House and Ways and Means Committee voted Tuesday to release six years of former President Donald Trump’s tax returns. Why? Because they um, uh—because they want to? But wait, you say to yourself, that’s not possible; your tax returns are private by federal law, and therefore protected from release. The Dems of course found a sleazy way around that. The tax code allows the committee to look at people’s tax returns to provide “oversight” of the Internal Revenue Service, and by writing an official report on their findings,

The question in the title needs, I believe, critical examination. Why DOES the Left hate Trump so much? The answer, as usual, can largely be found by analyzing history. But first. Do they hate him because the average price of a gallon of gas in his administration was far lower than under Biden? Is it because inflation was low (around 2%) and trending downward? Is it that the USA was energy independent and didn’t need to beg our enemies for oil, deplete our strategic oil reserve or sell it to China? Is it because black and Hispanic unemployment was lower than at any time in history?
