It needs to be a rule for the Larry Hogan wing of the Republican Party that anytime they drone about it being time to “move on,” they’re required to say out loud exactly what it means to move on.
Because when the Wall Street Journal or Mitt Romney repeats that condescending line with absolute disdain, they’re not just talking about zeroing out the political viability of a single man who offends their delicate sensibilities. They’re talking about a complete memory-holing of the GOP’s shift from country club to Costco and the abandonment of all the issues that brought hundreds of thousands of new voters into the fold.

If the RINOs are going to stay in CONTROL of the republican no matter what we do, it's time to VOTE THEM OUT. We can do so in primaries if that's available to us but, even if we get an actual democrat in their place, we'll be rid of them after a couple election cycles.

I moved on. I moved on years ago from the establishment GOP, aka the Uniparty.
Everyone else is encouraged to do the same.
Support candidates based on their conservative beliefs not based on a fake letter next to their name.
The Republican Party stands for nothing, believes in nothing, actively desires no positive change. They just want to be a minor partner to the Democrat's managing of America's decline. And make a few bucks along the way.

Move on as in ON. Trump is at BEST an 80ish GUARANTEED one term president.
Move on is DeSantis and most people he endorses. MAGA

Sorry Honest Dan but if elections meant anything we wouldn't be in this mess.

Brief, but accurate. Love the “country club to Costco” quip.

Either get rid of the RINOs or start a new party. "Do that, and the Democrats will control all the branches..."
I think not. We cannot abide the lies and fraud, rampant in the swamp. Here's a couple of quotes for you wobblies: "...We have nothing to fear, but Fear itself." "We will overcome..."Nuts..."
We do not lack courage. And we do understand the purpose and intent of the Constitution. You have poked this dozing Lion with your sticks, but I know, the door won't hold when that Lion rouses...

A few years ago Republicans were taking bows for their reponse to COVIDS. PPP was a Republican giveaway that cost $680 BILLION...so let's not talk about fiscal responsibility ever again. Few "real conservatives" opposed the free money. Estimates run as high as $16 TRILLION spent through the Trump Administration.
And how about that Operation Warp Speed. Now, that was relatively cheap for a program described by Republicans in the Senate thusly in August 2022: "Operation Warp Speed was the most successful public health program since small pox. It saved millions of lives, and it should be resurrected as soon as possible.” They don't say, meanwhile who squawks about the number of deaths associated with the vaccines? And, it only cost around $12.5 BILLION, a pittance.
The biggest problem is that Republicans/conservatives tend to get stuck in the past. If it wasn't Reaganism, now it's Trump MAGA-ism. How many are using up their stock of incandescent bulbs? No one seems to want anything but a return to halcyon days, and no one is putting the legion of released genies back in their bottles. The Republican Party stands for what? What are its common goals and values? Frankly, it doesn't know. Neither do its adherents. And that is the foundation of its current floundering.

Bravo, OP. So sick of these sanctimonious blowhards, here and in the media, constantly yammering and yammering and yammering their endless, cautionary advice to us rubes. I’m with #6. I’ll take Trump’s “80-ish” hardiness and burning love for his country over some 40-50-ish RINO or establishment, backside-licking elite. If Trump goes 3rd party, I’m so there.

Fake republicans like Romney & Mitch should be attempting to investigate the corrupt election process instead of trying to push it under the rug. Remember how move on got started…Sorus wanted us to forget Bill & Monica…

7, why do you say "Republicans/conservatives" as if they're the same thing?
They are absolutely not the same thing.
Republican is a meaningless grouping of people who choose to give themselves that name.
Conservative is a life philosophy.
One has nothing to do with the other.

I sent exactly ZERO dollars to the national Republican party and that is exactly what they will get from me as long as the Uniparty crooks remain in charge. I sent hundreds of dollars each to several candidates this cycle, but sent ALL of it directly to their campaign, NOTHING to national Repubs. I despise McConnell and don't trust McCarthy at all.

Not “move on” but go back is what the anti-MAGA, anti-Trumpers would have us do. Fat chance! At times like this I recall Margaret Thatcher’s “Don’t go all wobbly…"
