Former top intelligence officials who signed an open letter suggesting the Hunter Biden laptop story was part of a Russian operation just weeks before the 2020 election were silent after internal Twitter emails acknowledged there was no evidence the story involved material that was illicitly obtained.
According to the New York Post — the outlet that broke the story in October 2020 — as reported on Saturday:
Leon Panetta, a former CIA director and defense secretary, John Brennan a former CIA director, Mike Hayden, a former CIA director, and Jim Clapper, a former director of national intelligence — who all once said The Post’s reporting had ‘

If you’re surprised by their silence, you haven’t been paying attention. The left never admits that they are wrong about anything.

Perhaps it would be best at this point for a prosecutor to set a "Value" upon this "In Kind Contribution", and explore the tax implications as well as the campaign finance violations it entailed? A good basis point for it would be the advertising rates per minute of every outlet that carried the story, multiplied by the number of mentions and number of minutes the story received...assessed not only against the 51, and whomever encouraged/facilitated/promoted the "Letter", but also every individual media member who promulgated it as "News", without ANY attempt to confirm this claim against the actual laptop data.

Remember Schiff held secret meetings in the Capitol SCIF?
All of these a holes and others testified under oath that they had no evidence that Trump colluded with Russia (The redacted transcripts of their testimony has been on line for years but the media has kept them quiet). Meanwhile they continued to make the accusations with "plausible deniability". So just as with hunter's laptop they will never face any consequences

Just like the old deck of cards that were introduced during the wars against Sadam Hussein, we need a new deck of cards. Biden's Minions Card Deck, 52 cards that feature the pictures of the intelligence officials who worked to fix the 2020 election. Go ahead Republicans, manufacture the cards. Biden and Dr Jill will be the Joker Cards in the deck.

The disinformation plot of the IC officials was not driven by the laptop contents per se since the FBI had already confirmed it was genuine in December when they received it from the repair shop owner. The smear story was triggered by the fact that Rudy Guiliani had also been given a copy of the disk drive which they never expected. They immediately decided to tie this to the fact that Guiliani had obtained the same evidence that they were covering up regarding Biden's $1B payoff to the Ukrainian president to get the Burisma prosecutor fired. The used the "Russian disinformation" ruse for this because it had worked for the Biden bribery evidence. Guiliani has been their worst nightmare in protecting the Biden crime family.

I guarantee you nothing will come of this. Just like Hillary's emails, there will be hearings with Republicans raging and then it will all be flushed down the memory hole.

Each of these yahoos should be hauled before congress and asked to testify if they actually physically inspected the drive to make the claim that the product was Russian disinformation (which they have to say no) and who/what led them to make that claim. Would they make that claim today? If so, why.
Then, each Republican member can say that this person has no reason to have any remaining security clearances because they are an idiot.

The link is embedded in this Politico article from October 19, 2020. Just days before the 2020 election. Every one of those who signed it is guilty of attempting to manipulate an election.

# 13 nails it. The letter and the release were political propaganda. Americans who could see through the organized effort to keep Donald Trump out of the White House in 2016 we not taken in by “earmarks of a Russian operation” in 2020. Why not? Maybe because by then they had learned to recognize “earmarks” of a domestic operation against Donald Trump. That’s why selling the supposed “insurrection” narrative of January 6th failed to produce the desired backlash aimed not just at Trump but at the tens of millions of loyal Americans accused of agreeing with the “storming” of the Capitol. A real insurrection would be obvious. Police leaving doors open and waiving people in is inconsistent with the insurrection narrative. So is government withholding tapes from the American people the administration does not want them to see.

"What difference, at this point, does it make?"
Goal accomplished. Biden was sworn in as president. And in 2 more years this will be "old news". Its the standard Clinton playback. Deny, deny, deny.....whe it can't be denied any longer, declare it old news because everyone has moved on to the next shiny thing.

#13, thanks for the reminder of the Russian Information Letter that politico published. Every one of those FOOLS need to be held to account for lying to the American People.
I believe they committed treason.
They falsely accused another country of THEIR scam and it worked, therefore they put LIES ahead of our Nation and our national security by electing an IDIOT.

So now, if the likes of John Panetta, who is ever the "go-along to get-along" political hack, ADMITS that it now appears to be REAL (in order to save his own reputation), then that is one more political nail in the coffin of the first Pedophile POTUS.

When you see words like "52 intelligence officials from both sides" or "all 18 intelligence agencies of the US Government" unanimously agreeing on something, always smell a dead rodent. Merely using these words (like Hillary) or printing them (like the NYT) is a dead giveaway of who you are and what your intentions are.

It is not surprising. These “experts” were wrong about a whole lot of other things as well. But, the MSM never saw fit to question anything these “experts” told them. Like “useful idiots” they spread the lies like they came from on high.

The title of this article begs the question: What did you expect? That the ''ex-Intel officials would shout ''here we are, come get us and lock us up!'' Some nuance that would be.
