Many have wondered about the utter insanity of China's "zero covid" policy and why its being maintained after a couple of years experience in which it fails repeatedly, and the virus keeps popping up.
"Zero covid" was always medically and physically bankrupt. Even masks are bankrupt as we knew all the way back to 1981 with Neil Orr's seminal study on the matter in operating rooms where everyone was a trained professional. That's the best possible test environment with no confounders, since everyone is trained and all the things in the room are sterilized (snip)
: The operating rooms where masks were not in use had decreased infection rates

The past three years have generated millions of case vignettes of patients with COVID-19 respiratory illness. The most dramatic cases include critically ill inpatients with severe hypoxemia despite maximum respiratory support.
By far, the most notable cases of survival have occurred with the administration of ivermectin. Former NIH researcher David Scheim, PhD, early in the pandemic proposed that SARS-CoV-2 Spike protein was acting like a grappling hook pulling together circulating red blood cells into long chains and clumps in a process called hemagglutination. This explained why the red blood cells could not carry oxygen normally and was congruent with the finding of micro blood clots in the lungs.

Most military experts agree that the U.S. military is no longer capable of achieving its mission as mandated by national defense doctrines adopted by administrations of both parties. President Biden is exacerbating the situation by focusing military strategy on progressive politics instead of military preparedness. Even a Democratic controlled Congress overruled his proposed budget in order to increase spending and partially to fund programs required to reverse the decline.
While the U.S. military remains the world’s most powerful military, it also has the broadest mission of any nation, with global security needs and commitments.

The 11th Circuit Court of Appeals having previously ruled the special master cannot review classified documents, also ruled today against the special master having any involvement in the filtering of seized documents from Mar-a-Lago. [Ruling Here]
Previously, the lower court appointed a special master to review the seized documents and ensure no privileged material was exploited by the DOJ. However, the appellate court determined the DOJ can independently define a national security interest and classify documents with no legal basis for challenge, therefore the special master cannot filter classified documents.

People around the country are looking at the Georgia Senate runoff between Democrat Raphael Warnock and Republican Hershel Walker. Lots of people wondering what is going on. Well, last night the Republican party of Georgia gave an excellent example of what it means to be Republican in Georgia.
Republican Lieutenant Governor Geoff Duncan appeared on CNN to share his opinion of Republican candidate Hershel Walker. As Republican Duncan outlined during the interview he stood in line for an hour, took a ballot (snip) and then decided he could just not vote for a Republican in Georgia, so he turned around and walked back out without voting.

Tesla CEO Elon Musk said he met with Apple CEO Tim Cook and the two resolved the issue of Twitter potentially being cut from Apple’s App Store, which Musk had earlier identified as a threat facing the social media giant.
Musk said in a post on Twitter late Wednesday that he and Cook had a “good conversation” and that they “resolved the misunderstanding about Twitter potentially being removed from the App Store.”
“Tim was clear that Apple never considered doing so,” Musk added.

Apple’s threat to remove Twitter from its App store for the crime of being a slightly more open forum for free speech under Elon Musk has been met with a chorus of outrage and substantive threats of congressional action by Republican leaders.
Just kidding. Republicans have barely said anything about it, and establishment Republicans have said nothing at all. With the exception of Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, who offered his opinion on a matter outside his purview as a governor, Apple’s threat to crush Twitter has been met more or less with silence, even from members of the GOP who consider themselves conservative.

After refusing to certify its general election results due to widespread failures that potentially disenfranchised voters, the board of elections for Luzerne County, Pennsylvania, has flip-flopped and voted to certify its election results anyway — after pressure from a lawsuit by known Democrat election meddler Marc Elias.
This past Monday, Luzerne’s board of elections voted against certifying its results from the Nov. 8 election after voters experienced significant problems casting their ballots. )snip) thousands of Luzerne County residents were affected and likely did not cast ballots. (snip)after Elias filed his complaint Tuesday, Schramm joined the other two Democrats on the elections board and voted to certify Luzerne’s results on Wednesday.

We probably don’t know each other so I’m not expecting to receive a Christmas greeting card. But if you planned on sending one anyway, be sure, at minimum, to make it out to me and sign your name in handwriting. Otherwise it’s immediately going in the trash.
I’m not joking. Unsigned, non-personalized greeting cards are as meaningful to me as a mailed offer for new auto insurance.(snip)
I’m not one of those miserable liberals who hates Christmas and everything else that’s pleasant. Christmas is truly my favorite time of year. And each season, I go to Georgetown in Washington, D.C., to buy very cute, very expensive holiday greeting cards and decorative stickers

There’s no doubt that our nation, which a majority of voters say is headed in the wrong direction, needs salvaging.
Half of Americans are counting on Republican politicians to get serious about the myriad of crises facing our country and actually do something effective. The problem? Congressional Republicans are, as of late, historically weak.
They never seem to tire of capitulating to the Democrat’s radical policy whims. They refuse to hold tyrannical bureaucrats and politicized departments accountable for acting unjustly. And they refuse to leverage their power to stop bad-faith policies in their tracks.
Over and over and over again, the GOP establishment and its allies have burned Republican voters

Democratic Arizona Secretary of State and Gov.-elect Katie Hobbs’ top deputy threatened the Mohave County Board of Supervisors with prosecution if it didn’t certify her election results before a Monday deadline, according to emails and documents reviewed by the Daily Caller News Foundation.
Arizona State Elections Director Kori Lorick wrote several letters and emails to members of the board, warning them of criminal charges if the refused to certify the results in time. The letters included threats of lawsuits against the members for “nonfeasance,” as well, per the emails.
“The Secretary of State did contact our County and cited A.R.S. Section 16-1010 as a statute that could be used to prosecute [the

House Democrats might release former President Donald Trump’s tax returns, Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) said on Dec. 1.
The decision would be up to Ways and Means Committee Chairman Richard Neal (D-Mass.) and members of the panel, Pelosi said.
“That’s a judgment they’re going to have to make,” she told reporters during a briefing in Washington.
The judgment would be in keeping with the purpose of acquiring the returns, which Neal has said is examining the way the IRS audits presidents and considering legislative reform to the program, Pelosi added.
Comments:
No one should have the power to subvert the electoral process. Elias subsequently gloated that he had “coerced” these officials into certifying.
