President Biden's rented Secret Service vehicles burst into flames in a parking lot Monday, just one day after he left his Nantucket vacation.
Biden spent Thanksgiving on the ritzy Massachusetts island with his family last week. The Secret Service rented five vehicles from Hertz to carry the president and his family, and all five of them caught fire in the parking lot, according to footage first obtained by the Nantucket Current.
Footage shows firefighters spraying down the smoldering remains of one vehicle's engine block. The five vehicles included a Chevy Suburban, Ford Explorer, Infiniti QX80, Ford Expedition, and a Jeep Gladiator.

President Biden met with congressional leaders of both parties on Tuesday to discuss lame-duck session priorities, including passing legislation to avert a looming rail strike that could devastate the U.S. economy.
'I asked for Congress, whether they'd be willing to come in and talk about what we're going to do between now and Christmas in terms of legislation,' Biden said at the top of the meeting. 'There's a lot to do in resolving the rail strike,' Biden said.
'Congress has to act to prevent it. It's not an easy call, but I think we have to do it - the economy's at risk.'

As with people in general, there are certain political figures who simply can’t get out of their own way. In the case of California Democrat Rep. Adam Schiff, it’s almost like he intentionally tries to humiliate himself every time he opens his lying mouth. Toss in his stage-4 TDS, and this guy is a real bundle of joy.
Schiff’s latest delusional blabbering — on CNN, of course — was in response to GOP House Leader Kevin McCarthy‘s confirmation, during a November 20 segment with Fox News host Maria Bartiromo, that if he becomes Speaker of the 118th Congress on January 3, he will remove Schiff, Ilhan Omar,

There was a lot of Elon Musk hate from the cackling coven of ABC’s The View on Tuesday, even blaming him for the continuation of global hunger. But co-host Whoopi Goldberg said the quiet part out loud when she argued with hysterical liberal activist Alyssa Milano that liberals should leave Twitter until they figure out how they “get the control” they “need” over the platform. Asked to comment on Musk because she recently virtue signaled by selling her Tesla, Milano suggested that Musk was perpetuating global hunger because he could have given the $40 billion he spent on Twitter to her via UNICEF:

Now that the GOP has gained a House majority, Kevin McCarthy has a real opportunity to rise to the occasion. Although it wasn’t the midterm election result McCarthy wanted, by winning the House of Representatives the Republican Party has a seat at the governing table. The 55th speaker of the House is in a position to set policies and priorities in contrast to Joe Biden, and in the process make the case that a Republican belongs back in the White House in 2024.
Doing so means that McCarthy and his lieutenants will have to demonstrate they understand the value of playing the long game. Even in a complicated political environment,

Several top conservatives are warning that if House GOP leader Kevin McCarthy, the Republican nominee for Speaker of the House, does not win the speakership election on the floor of the House on Jan. 3, 2023, a “doomsday scenario” could emerge where Democrats undercut GOP power.
In such a scenario, concerns are rising that so-called moderate—or establishment Republicans—are willing to band together to make a deal with the Democrats to elect a moderate Republican as speaker with Democrat votes in exchange for a House rules change that hands the incoming Democrat minority significant power over how subpoenas can be issued.

Hire weird and sketchy clowns and don’t be surprised when the office turns into a circus. Dept of Energy Nuclear Waste official Sam Brinton made headlines months ago for being an odd duck hired into a senior DoE position.
His resume’ included teaching a “Kink 101” workshop at the University of Nebraska at Omaha, and his qualifications included several degrees from MIT and a non-binary gender fluid identity. However, stories are now surfacing of Mr/Ms Brinton stealing luggage containing women’s clothing from the Minneapolis-St. Paul (MSP) International Airport.

White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre sent a veiled threat to Twitter CEO Elon Musk when she claimed that the The White House is “monitoring” Twitter after Musk took over the platform.
When asked about the White House’s concerns that a Musk-owned Twitter might become a “vector of misinformation,” Jean-Pierre made it clear that the White House has all eyes on Musk. "This is something that we're certainly keeping an eye on,” she said. “It is [social media platforms’] responsibility to make sure when it comes to misinformation, when it comes to the hate that we’re seeing, that they take action, that they continue to take

Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell suggested Tuesday that former President Donald Trump’s dinner last week with an outspoken anti-semite and white supremacist had disqualified him from holding future office.
“First, let me just say that there is no room in the Republican Party for anti-semitism or white supremacy,” McConnell (R-Ky.) told reporters on Capitol Hill of the 76-year-old Trump’s Mar-a-Lago meal with Jew-hating hip-hop star Kanye West and white nationalist Nicholas Fuentes.
“Anyone meeting with people advocating that point of view, in my judgment, are highly unlikely to ever be elected president of the United States,” McConnell added

New York - New York City Mayor Eric Adams says the NYPD, FDNY, and other city agencies will start forcing homeless people who are determined to be suffering a "mental health crisis" off the streets and out of the subway system. They will be taken to a hospital for evaluation even if they refuse to go on their own.
Adams says, "It is appropriate to use this process when a person refuses voluntary assistance and it appears that they are suffering from mental illness and are a danger to themselves due to an inability to meet their basic needs. We believe this is the first time

Some years ago, New York Times columnist Thomas Friedman said “if we could just be China for a day” we would be able to “authorize the right solutions … on everything from the economy to environment.” It’s a fantasy often dreamed of, usually in secret, by Western elites. For the rest of us, it’s a nightmare.
While our country, and much of the world, has finally walked away from most of the liberty-robbing and soul-crushing pandemic restrictions, China is convulsing over the government’s zero-tolerance rules. Protests – mostly peaceful, or course – have spread across major cities. The oppressed citizens are revolting,

During recent public appearances, President Joe Biden has continued to complain about energy prices as well as the potentially catastrophic shortage of diesel that has been forecast to hit the United States soon, particularly in the northeast. Of course, he never takes the blame for any of this himself. He instead tries to blame the “greedy” energy companies or, of course, Vladimir Putin. He has called for bans on oil and gas exports and even suggested a mandate that diesel stocks be maintained at a higher level. But a new report from the Institute for Energy Research addresses the actual root of these problems. What we’re facing is a significant
