Yep, guns are the problem. If they had strict anti-gun laws in Chicago, all those shooters would have been home playing gin rummy.

It seems lefty dem pols produce misery and death in formerly safe and reliably productive cities. Wherever the lefty/dem pols dictate, hopelessness & destruction abounds. The proof is in the pudding, eh, Chicago, Portland, Seattle, NYC, St. Louis, L.A., etc.? Include Washington D.C. leftists and the picture isn't pretty.

She is also concerned for her employees’ safety and acknowledged, “The problem is, as small businesses, we cannot sustain those types of losses and stay in business. MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A group of multiple suspects is wanted after breaking into a local business and stealing $100K worth of Nike shoes, as well as toys for a holiday toy drive. The break-in happened at Valid Kixx, 6569 Winchester Rd., on Sunday, Nov. 20, around 9:45 p.m., according to the Memphis Police Department (MPD). Video footage showed approximately 20 men running in and out of the store grabbing merchandise. While inside, they kicked a hole through a back wall

President Joe Biden pledged to build a high-speed railway between Scranton, Pennsylvania, and New York City on Wednesday. The president made his bold (and likely unrealistic) pronouncement during his post-midterm election press conference on Wednesday when recalling how a congressman in the state of Pennsylvania asked if his infrastructure plan would include a high-speed rail between the two cities. “We can. First of all, it will make it a lot easier to take a lot of vehicles off the road, and we have more money in the pot now already out there that we voted for than the entire money that we spend on Amtrak, to begin with,” he said.

The White House on Wednesday deleted a Twitter post after it was fact-checked for making an inaccurate claim about the Social Security cost-of-living adjustment (COLA) that was recently announced. “Seniors are getting the biggest increase in their Social Security checks in 10 years through President Biden’s leadership,” the now-deleted White House Twitter post said. However, the post failed to mention that the COLA adjustment was due to surging, decades-high inflation. COLA adjustments have been automatically done every year for decades due to federal law, and the adjustments are not contingent on any of the Biden administration’s policies. “The point was incomplete,” a White House official told The Epoch Times via email.

President Biden urged Congress Monday to intervene to avert a "potentially crippling national rail shutdown," after multiple rail labor unions shot down an agreement brokered by the White House in September. American consumers and virtually all industries could take a hit at the beginning of the holiday season if workers do strike as soon as Dec. 5. Congress could intervene and impose contract terms on railroad workers, which is what Mr. Biden is urging them to do. Thanks to the Railway Labor Act, passed in 1926, Congress can force workers back to their stations with a congressional resolution.

Several top conservatives are warning that if House GOP leader Kevin McCarthy, the Republican nominee for Speaker of the House, does not win the speakership election on the floor of the House on Jan. 3, 2023, a “doomsday scenario” could emerge where Democrats undercut GOP power. In such a scenario, concerns are rising that so-called moderate—or establishment Republicans—are willing to band together to make a deal with the Democrats to elect a moderate Republican as speaker with Democrat votes in exchange for a House rules change that hands the incoming Democrat minority significant power over how subpoenas can be issued.
