Appointment of Special Counsel Amounts
to Election Interference and Sets Dangerous Precedent

While Republicans kicked off the 2024 presidential race with the announcement that Donald Trump was running for president, in perhaps the ultimate sign of our ignominious times, Democrats, in effect, kicked off their half of the contest three days later by appointing a special counsel to escalate their political prosecution of him.
This is where “our democracy” stands today: with its purported defenders engaging in the singularly anti-democratic act of siccing a hyper-politicized law enforcement apparatus on a candidate for the highest elected office, on dubious grounds, thereby subverting the political process by which we decide who represents us.

The house could defund the special counsel. If nothing else, reduce the DOJ budget 1 million dollars for every dollar they spend on the special counsel.

This will end up with the SCOTUS. That is the good news. The bad news is that this SCOTUS just handed Trump’s taxes to the Democrats.

Trump would be an 80 year old guaranteed one-term president. He's already had one.
DeSantis ,but not until Dems have spent a zillion anti-Trump dollars.

They don’t care and they aren’t even trying to hide it. They believe they are close to consolidating their power into a permanent ruling class, restoring what they assume to be their destiny, before it was so rudely derailed by Donald Trump in 2016. They then won’t need to worry about any steenkin’ precedents. Elections will just be for show, to distract and deceive the sheeple into thinking they still have representative government.

There is zero predicate for appointing a special counsel. That is only going to harden an already hardened opposition to the Democrats. We are not moving anywhere, and we are not doing anything you say. Have a nice day!

Every bit of this was predictable. There have been no surprises in the action of government on behalf of the UNIPARTY to ensure FPDT doesn't return. There is much too large an investment in the '20 election to allow a repeat. This will ratchet up as needed, all the way to indictments and perhaps a perp walk. And you'll not hear a peep from GOPe leaders, none of which wants FPDT back in office.
BTW: There's no law prohibiting what was done. It's a DOJ "policy". The cultists need to at least consider a Plan B...their boy isn't going anywhere in '24 with the UNIPARTY, including Federal and New York authorities, arrayed to stop him.

It’s really cute that some of you actually believe we have a Department of Justice based upon the Constitution and rule of law. Democrats run the DOJ and FBI to their advantage and don’t even try to hide it. They have been after President Trump with a vengeance since 2015 and they will not stop pursuing his destruction. No law will prevent them. No election will stop them. No amount of public opinion will deter them. They have one goal. Destroy the man who means to destroy them. They started this fight and by all that is high and holy I hope Trump gets to finish it.

But what can be done about it? Nothing, as far as I can see. Mueller ran a hyper-partisan show that nearly destroyed Trump's presidency, too. Remember how it was demanded that Trump's DOJ be independent and how he was betrayed by two AGs--Sessions and Barr. But a Democrat's DOJ is openly partisan and working for the President's interests. We saw this in the Hillary Clinton "investigation."

Doesn't anyone else wonder WHY...was a prosecutor appointed that is working in the Haig...that's right folks...he's been a prosecutor at Nuremberg for several years...so...why then appoint him instead of all the desperate to be famous prosecutors in America...I think...the democrats have nothing to indict President Trump with that will stick...so the narrative for the fake media is that it was important to get input from Nuremberg ...and claim President Trump has committed crimes against humanity...it's a bait and switch....

President Trump was (and will be) the only one in Washington who acquired his fortune honestly!
Ironic isn't it?

If Republicans are in lock step with the democrat-led UNIPARTY, then why do democrats cheat to get elected? If that can't or won't be answered, then perhaps the claims of an all-powerful UNIPARTY is a divide-and-conquer strategy/meme for virulent anti-Republicans, including the most popular Republican in the land, Donald Trump..
