Former Surgeon General Jerome Adams said that he struggled to find a job after his four-year stint as America’s top doctor under former President Donald Trump.
“People still are afraid to touch anything that is associated with Trump,” Adams told the Washington Post in an interview published on Friday.
While he sought out positions in academia, Adams and his wife, Lacey, recounted receiving polite rejections from university officials who they believed were worried about how having a former Trump administration official on campus would be received by left-leaning students.

It’s fear of man. That’s an age ole malady. Those who “have a pair” are much in demand but few in number!

There is nothing more hateful and selfish than cowardice. Think about it. The liberals are so full of it, proclaiming “institutionalized racism,” where little or none exists. What is institutionalized is political bigotry. There should be a lawsuit and judgement for this!

The country is being held hostage by a bunch of blue haired, pierced, raving lunatics who will enthusiastically make life a living hell for anyone they see as a threat. Where in the heck did we lose our minds? Clearly, the inmates are running the asylum on college campuses. Adults have ceded the ground to these immature toddlers braying at the moon.

As with everything left, they call us the "haters" but it is they who are the real haters. Always have been (who fought the Civil Rights Act - the Democrats!). Projection is the methodology.

Works for me. After he pushed all the b.s. "science" on us, I wouldn't hire him to teach high school biology.

#6, they’ve been doing it since the 60’s when the university presidents allowed the radicals on campuses to “occupy” their offices.

This sounds like discrimination against a person of color, based upon his beliefs and values, rather than his qualifications for the job. It also appears to be a case of "institutional racism," with academia leading the charge. He and his wife are probably right to conclude that fear of offending students played a role in is being denied positions he was well qualified to hold. This is America. Something is wrong when American citizens need "permission" from Democrats to advance their careers. We know it happens all the time, because of the lack of conservative voices on campuses across the country. If we had REAL journalists, this abusive treatment would get the "60 Minutes" treatment, and the obvious bigotry against conservative thought would be exposed.

Everyone in the corrupt DC and national leftist cabal is absolutely still TERRIFIED of Trump and those who support him. They know that they are honest and won't abide their massive corruption. This scares them to death.

And the student loan program is designed to funnel even more money into these corrupt institutions. Universities need to be taken down a peg or two. Or ten.

Listen... I ain't buyin' it... go out and get a real job! You don't need some stickin university job. There are a billion of options and opportunities for anyone who had the title "Surgeon General" behind his name. Start your own business... quit complaining and chart your own destiny! This is America still and opportunities are everywhere... AND, who cares about the universities today. OK, rant over.

#18m the position of Surgeon General was established after the Civil War, to standardize surgical procedures, instruments, and it gave us those TV dramas where the surgeon is telling the OR nurse what to give him.
Once all of those things were accomplished, the Surgeon General became a health nessenger to the American people. It was C, Evert Koop who made those Puvlic Service ads under George H.W. Bush, to tell us to avoid being the recipient in anal intercourse episodes, to avoid AIDS.
As for Dr. Jerome Adams, he is an anesthesiologist, and if he has not practiced in the last four years, he would not be a desirable hire for a medical school.
