Violent crime comes to previously peaceful

The previously unimaginable has happened: The storybook island of Martha’s Vineyard, the seasonal home of billionaires and hundreds of elite cultural and political movers and shakers, not to mention one of three year-round homes of the Obamas, has finally experienced that rarity previously limited to the mainland: violent gun crime. And surprise: The alleged perpetrators are not MAGA white nationalists. Rather, evidence so far points to migrants, possibly of the illegal kind. This is a bitter pill for most Vineyard residents to swallow. The island’s six towns have all declared themselves to be sanctuary communities.

Some of those who come from third world countries, illegally, view crime as an occupation. The influx of russian mmigrants in the 1990s brouight in many honest hard working people, happy to have escaped oppression. It also bought in some who were pure criminals. Creating auto accidnts was a cottage industry, playing havoc with insurance companies, for about a decade This is how accidents were created. The innocent driver would be proceeding down the street, a crook's car would come up beside the innocent car, taking away that lane for evasive manuevers, a crook's car would come up from the rear, and a crook's car in front would slam on his brakes, causing a rear end accident, with the innocent driver at fault. The crooked driver in front, and his passengers, would all suffer whip lash injuries, and collect from the innocent driver's insurance. It was repeated, with the same people involved, collecting on those injuries. Nigerians in the United States have facilitated the 419 Nigerian scams, with all sorts of variations on the Nigerian princess stuck in a refugee camp, with tons of money available. Or a romance scam with all sorts of variations. We are a nation of suckers.

I sure love our little poor border town there's nothing here for illegals so they head north. Maybe highway signs pointing to the east coast to find their way. FMV

According to the article, there are thousands of migrants living on the Island of Martha's Vineyard. That meant the 49 illegal migrants that DeSantis sent there were a drop in the bucket. This set their hair on fire and, after pompous virtue signalling about being a sanctuary, they were removed in a day and a half. Since the 49 were removed. the 3 robbers were most likely not part of the 49. Yet I bet that is not what the MSM will say.

The Left, the NeverTrump Right, and many independents are tiring of Donald Trump’s recitations of prior, however justified, grievances at the hands of the media, the Democratic Party, the administrative state, and hard-core Left. The conventional wisdom runs that Trump’s whines and victimization recitations reveal deep paranoias, and increasingly to an obsessive degree. I’m certain that garden-variety illegal fraud, combined with the legal fraud of ballot harvesting and mail-in voting, went a long way to explain how Americans suffering terribly in a bad economy did not deliver a wipeout to the Dems in the 2022 midterms. I also reserve a great deal of blame for the GOP, which is trying hard to drive MAGA from its ranks and is willing to lose to do so. One of the biggest rail unions rejected a deal earlier this week failing to approve contracts over concerns about demanding schedules and the lack of paid sick time. Sen. For many Republicans, the final midterm election results were surprising— especially in the states of Arizona, Nevada, and Pennsylvania. Based on polling, it looked likely that Kari Lake, Adam Laxalt, and Mehmet Oz would win their contests. I believe that there are only three likely explanations for the unexpected results: late campaign surges, polling error, or aggressive ballot-harvesting. A late surge? Some Republicans are falling for an illogical narrative put forth by Democrats and the mainstream media.
