Equatorial Guinea President Teodoro Obiang Nguema Mbasogo, Africa's longest-serving ruler and the longest-serving president in world history, was primed Sunday to extend his unprecedented 43-year authoritarian rule, The Associated Press reported. While Obiang is running in an election, AP noted that the country's electoral system is not considered free, and Obiang has never gotten less than 90 percent of the vote in his four decades in power. This trend looked primed to continue, and just two opposition candidates ran against Obiang, who was expected to once again win in a landslide. In a wide ranging IQ comparison of nations and populations some years ago, the average IQ in Equatorial Guinea was the lowest of any nation on earth: 59, somewhere between moron and imbecile, slightly favoring imbecile. That's the average. Half of the population was less than that. Thinking by some causes overburdened cranial pulpwood to heat up, smoke, and burn. In bad cases, smoke can be seen out of both ears. In the worst cases, the entire head can burst into flames.

A huge fire has ripped through a major gas pipeline in Russia following an explosion. But Russian experts have hinted at sabotage after claiming an accidental explosion is "impossible without external influence". It is thought it was the main gas pipeline belonging to Gazprom Transgaz SPB that exploded - affecting up to one million people. Thick plumes of smoke were visible for miles around the scene close to Putin's home city of St Petersburg after the blast. Russia appears to have pointed the finger at suspected sabotage, claiming an accident is "impossible". Gas industry Telegram channel Gaz Batyushka reported an anonymous

In her new book “The Light We Carry,” Michelle Obama gets personal. The former first lady discusses her dad being diagnosed with multiple sclerosis, the importance of nurturing friendships, and the challenges of childcare. She also delves into relationships, not only her own but what she sees happening with the younger generation. In an interview on NPR’s Life Kit podcast, she shares the advice she tells any young adult who asks her about marriage: “You have to be prepared to have long stretches of discomfort,” she said. “And [by] long I mean it lasts for years.” ‘Marriage is never 50/50’

Democrat Adam Frisch has conceded to Rep. Lauren Boebert in Colorado’s 3rd Congressional District in what shaped up to be a surprisingly competitive race in an otherwise blue district that was likely to head into a runoff. (Snip) “The voters have spoken and while we show great progress, I remain down by a few hundred votes. This small margin triggers an automatic recount in Colorado’s election system,” Frisch said. “We are not asking for this recount … The likelihood of this recount changing more than a handful of votes is very small. Very very small. It would be disingenuous and

Senator-Elect John Fetterman and his wife, Gisele, are celebrating their recent hard-fought victory for a key senate seat in Pennsylvania. On Tuesday, Gisele Fetterman uploaded a photo of her and her husband in front of the politician’s office, with a freshly minted sign that read “Senator-Elect John Fetterman.” Gisele captioned the triumphant photo with “First day ---.” The photo offers a possible glimpse at how the political power couple may be dressing from January 3 onwards. Gisele, who has co-founded multiple non-profit organizations, appears to have already adapted her funky and individualistic sense of style to the office. In the

Reporting of election results resumed Thursday in the contentious race for Colorado’s 3rd Congressional District between incumbent Lauren Boebert (R-Silt) and Democratic challenger Adam Frisch of Aspen. Over a week after Election Day and with almost all of the counties reporting results in District 3 as of 5:30 p.m. Thursday, Boebert was still leading over Frisch, but by a slimmer margin. The latest count had Frisch trailing by 551 votes, but the tally was continually updating as counties reported. In the last batch of Pueblo County votes reported Thursday afternoon, Frisch netted 123 votes out of 914 ballots from rectified

Michigan was one of four states where Democrats gained control of both legislative chambers and the governorship. Whitmer expressed hope for more gun control and pro-choice legislation coming through Congress. Afterwards, CNN host Kaitlan Collins urged the Democrat to run in 2024. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) telling people to “stop” taking ivermectin for COVID-19 was informal and just a recommendation, government lawyers argued during a recent hearing. “The cited statements were not directives. They were not mandatory. They were recommendations. They said what parties should do. They said, for example, why you should not take ivermectin to treat COVID-19. They did not say you may not do it, you must not do it. They did not say it’s prohibited or it’s unlawful. They also did not say that doctors may not prescribe ivermectin,” Isaac Belfer, one of the lawyers, told the court during the Nov. 1 hearing in federal court

Arizona Assistant Attorney General Jennifer Wright — with the Elections Integrity Unit — wrote a letter to the Maricopa County officials Saturday demanding an accounting for the widespread ballot tabulation and ballot printer problems seen during the general election on Nov. 8. Among the most troubling issues raised in the letter directed to Thomas Liddy with the Maricopa County Attorney’s Office was the apparent co-mingling of ballots in black duffle bags in at least one polling location, which were successfully run through the on-site tabulators with those put in “Door 3” to be sent to the Election Department’s downtown Phoenix tabulation center because they could not be read.

Kumar appeared as a guest host on MSNBC’s "Velshi," where a panel discussed former President Trump’s effect on the Republican Party. The discussion soon focused on DeSantis as a kind of successor to "Trumpism" for his rise in popularity However, Kumar claimed that his success, even in the state of Florida, is due not to DeSantis’ record as governor, but because he "gerrymandered" the state.
