Hollywood star Alec Baldwin got some bad news from Santa Fe County Sheriff today on NBC’s Today show. Sheriff Adan Mendoza was reacting to a new video released by authorities that show Alec rehearsing before the fatal shooting...
Alec Baldwin is “not off the hook” from criminal charges the sheriff said...
There was disorganization and a degree of negligence — whether that rises to a criminal level, that will be up to the district attorney

At least negligent homicide seems to be the situation. Baldwin held the gun, he didn't check the gun, he thumbed back the hammer, he pointed it at two people, he pulled the trigger.
Even with a blank round - that is dangerous inside of 40 ft or so.
Baldwin is responsible.
How and why there was live ammo on the set? - big problems with management.
How and why the unit armorer wasn't personally present and in control when these bozos were 'playing with guns' - another issue that is the responsibility of the Executive Producer......Alec Baldwin. Apparently the Executive Producer had rules which forced the unit armorer to try to do multiple jobs, making it difficult or impossible to properly do the unit armorer job.
Why the unit armorer wasn't actually in control of all the weapons and ammunition on set, at all times? - another issue that seems to be the responsibility of the Executive Producer......Alec Baldwin.
ALL the arrows keep pointing at Alec Baldwin.

Baldwin=involuntary manslaughter
What are the Elements of a Involuntary Manslaughter Charge?
The defendant's actions caused the death of another person;
The defendant's actions were inherently dangerous or done with reckless disregard; and.
The defendant knew or should have known that their actions would put the lives of another human being at risk.

Whatever other shenanigans they're pulling, Baldwin's legal team is apparently trying to drag this out, hoping it will go away.

One more time!
Baldwin the actor - innocent
Baldwin as producer, guilty of involuntary manslaughter

Just released video of the 'filming' just prior to the shooting. Note that the shoulder holster that Baldwin is using has what appear to be loaded ammunition in loops, clearly visible. Some have asked why there needed to be any "loaded ammo" on the set. On a safe set, those cartridges seen in those loops would APPEAR to be live cartridges (you can see the primers and bullets, too) in these close shots, but would actually have fake primers and no powder in the case. At times a close view of loading a cartridge into a gun is shown on the screen in some movies, too.
But - the armorer reported that the "dummy cartridges" that she purchased may have included some live ammunition - which, by the nature of a movie dummy cartridge - is at least superficially indestinguishable from a real cartridge. Perhaps there are some small marks that allow identification upon close examination but would not show on the screen.
In any case - there is a good example of the issues of having "live ammo" or something that must APPEAR to be live ammo, on the set, as a requirement for the scene.
And it is clear that Baldwin is practicing thumbing back the hammer in his practice draws in this footage.
Sad that the correct word for 'thumbing back the hammer" is seen as bad language by the site auto censors.
Baldwin has denied thumbing the hammer or pulling the trigger. Not credible.

Don't know why this is taking so long. It is a cut and dried situation; there are just so many people that have to be interviewed.
