Musician Neil Young on Tuesday deleted his post of a letter that directed his management team and record label to remove his music from Spotify over what he views as COVID misinformation spread by podcaster Joe Rogan. "I want you to let Spotify know immediately TODAY that I want all my music off their platform," he wrote, Rolling Stone reports. "They can have Rogan or Young. Not both." The part-time Crosby, Stills & Nash member accused Spotify of "spreading fake information about vaccines – potentially causing death to those who believe the disinformation being spread by them."

This old hippie snowflake may have had his little hissy fit, but, ultimately, he does not own his music. His record company does, and I doubt they want to alienate Spotify (since Spotify would clearly choose Joe Rogan, who is their major cash cow, over a washed-up old rocker who hasn't had a hit in decades). It sounds like someone from the label reminded him of that pesky little fact. Of course, if Neil had more than 4 or 5 working brain cells left, he would have remembered how he had a similar little meltdown when President Trump played Neil's music at his rallies. He told President Trump to stop, and President Trump told him "no". So Neil tried to sue President Trump to force him to stop, but the president's people had properly paid the label for the right to use the music, and the judge told Neil "nope". Neil Young is a washed-up old hippie snowflake who needs to shut up and sing (which he doesn't actually do very well anymore since he's too old to rock and roll), so he should probably just shut up and hope that people remember a time when he actually still had a little talent and anybody actually cared about him...

When I was a young man, Neil Young was the epitome of anti-establishment. A complete “Don’t trust the Government, question authority” renegade. Rocking in the Free World. Now, “Don’t question authority, tow the government line.” What the hell? This is the damaging effect of leftism. The removal of critical thought. The stamping out of freedom. Shame on you, Neil.
