'Angry and shaken': Six people dead in
shooting in Milwaukee, suspect and motive

The mass killing of six people shocked neighbors and public officials in Milwaukee, already weary of the relentless and devastating gun violence in the city over the past two years. The horrific scene was discovered Sunday afternoon when Milwaukee police were asked to do a welfare check about 3:45 p.m. at a duplex in the 2500 block of N. 21st St., within the city's Park West neighborhood.

Comments:

Mass murder, just another day in the 'Hood. Nobody saw nothing. They were good people. Drug dealing, Neighborhood feuds. Demands for "justice". And, a witness saying, even if she had heard gunshots in the area recently she wouldn’t think much of it, especially if there was no accompanying police response. “It really happens so often, so I really didn’t pay that much attention.” Life in The Community. Black Lives Matter.

Doggone it, more "gun violence". How do those guns keep doing it by themselves?

Here's my theory - - - - - They were about to unlock the secrets of nuclear fusion. White supremacists learned about this major scientific breakthrough - - by black researchers - - and decided to put an end to it - - so that whites can take credit for their discoveries. I'm pretty sure I'm right.

Apparently, "gun violence" is the new go-to phrase for the media. It's a way to blame guns instead of the actual murderers, and not so subtly imply that more gun control is needed. When someone kills someone with a hammer, the media doesn't call it "hammer violence". The left wing media is the real enemy to the country. They are incapable of simply publishing the truth.

Previous calls to that address were for drug dealing. The reality is that drug dealers have large amounts of cash on hand, and are tempting targets.

The gun violence is the result of government policies that have destroyed the support structure of the bottom 20% of the social strata. They are nonconformists that can only find work with small businesses, now mostly closed. Inflation has destroyed their purchasing power, and they have no assets. The social support of schools, workplaces, churches, playgrounds, anywhere, have all been destroyed. Most don't follow any rules to begin with, and are not going to follow any government diktats either. The precarious nature of their existence is increasing police encounters, outbursts, and desperation. The Democrats have engineered a total disaster, and are responsible for every bit of it.

It barely raised an eyebrow here. "Welfare check" has an entirely different meaning in flyover country. When people become numb to this sort of thing, we truly are living by the law of the jungle, which means we will protect ourselves accordingly.

Sad. Regardless of the circumstances, these deaths are tragic to their friends, family, community, and all of us who wish to live in peace with our fellow men. But ol Tyrus on Gutfeld! last night had a great line. As many time as he's left his gun with specific instructions and who to shoot while he has an alibi, the disobedient firearm never does what I told it to do and just sits there. .

The real problem is everyone is used to hearing gunshots all the time so the sounds of their neighbors being murdered was not unusual. And even though everyone saw exactly what happened and know exactly who did it, nobody saw anything or has any idea of who could have killed their "innocent" neighbors. Now they all wonder why crime is so high in their neighborhoods and murders are on the rise. The people in the neighborhood cry racism but the perpetrators of the crime are always Black and the crime is always Black on Black crime. Yet they cry white supremacy is the cause and Black lives matter. If Black lives matter, stop killing each other, stop covering up for each other, and stop allowing Black criminal culture to flourish and rule your community.

35-65 shootings in that 6-8blck neighborhood annually over the last couple of years, triple the "Trump Rate", which had been declining annually since he was elected. EVERYONE in that neighborhood KNOWS exactly who is doing all of that shooting, the COPS know who it is that is doing all of that shooting, The prosecutors know who is doing all of that shooting, NONE of them are willing to say and DO what is needed to stop that shooting. One of the Owners lives in Ga. bet there is a drug connection there as well, this house was just an "Outlet Store", how many other houses in other places have the same owners? Same names on leases?

If U.S. Sen. Ron Johnson made a New Year's resolution to take a more measured approach when discussing public policy, it didn't take him long to break it. Because the state's most polarizing politician is already back to offering his often wild and controversial take on things in 2022. Johnson — who last year advised using mouthwash to combat COVID-19 and labeled Social Security a Ponzi scheme — has already roped God into his bizarre take on vaccines and again questioned the seriousness of last year's Capitol riot. Now he's taking on a new topic: out-of-wedlock births.CORRECTION*

In the newly released strategy, the acting mayor aims to ramp up the city's law enforcement — including maintaining its level of sworn officers — to deal with the rising number of violent crimes, create resources to promote community healing and provide neighborhood-level support to address the root causes of violence in Milwaukee.

More Milwaukee restaurants have begun requiring proof of vaccination from dine-in customers, saying it's necessary for the safety of staff and patrons and to keep their businesses operating. "It’s not meant to be punitive; it’s meant to be protective," in the way cutting off a customer from drinking is, said Melissa Buchholz, co-owner of Odd Duck, 2352 S. Kinnickinnic Ave. The restaurant this week announced on social media that it would require proof of vaccination — a vaccination card, a photo of the card or the online vaccine record filed with the state — along with photo ID.

The emergence of Web3, a vision of the internet built on blockchain-based, decentralized systems, has many investors licking their chops because of its financial upside. Meanwhile, others are betting on Web3’s downfall. The rise of NFTs, or non-fungible tokens, in popularity and demand may be the clearest indication of Web3’s promise. “NFTs will be ubiquitous,” Brandon Buchanan, founder and managing partner of Meta4 Capital, a crypto-focused investment management firm, told Yahoo Finance this week. “Everything we're doing now, and we're starting with art and collectives, will shift to gaming and everything from ticketing to events.”

Washington—Republicans’ faith in science is falling as Democrats rely on it even more, with a trust gap in science and medicine widening substantially during the COVID-19 pandemic, new survey data shows. It’s the largest gap in nearly five decades of polling by the General Social Survey, a widely respected trend survey conducted by NORC at the University of Chicago that has been measuring confidence in institutions since 1972. That is unsurprising to more than a dozen scientists reached for comment by The Associated Press, but it concerns many of them. Science used to be something all Americans would get behind, Rice University historian Douglas Brinkley said.
